My Referal was faxed to a Dr, Sofronski today I have to call and set up an appointment with him...Do you think i should go due to not having insurance or not being able to afford self pay?

I would suggest that you call and talk to them and see what they say. Does the doctor who did your referral realize you have no insurance? Hugs, Mo

You should call the office and see if they have a payment plan for self pay patients. Hope it works out for you. Keep us posted Kelly

Hi Jodi, Definitely give them a call; maybe they have a free consultation or will suggest a support group for you to attend first. Also, you need to find out how much they charge because your doctor apparently feels you need this to improve your overall health. There is no price on your health!! Take care of yourself. ~~ Pat

Jodi i am in a similar situation. I have health insurance however the have an exclusion in the policy that will not pay for treatment of weight loss or morbid obesity. i definately can not afford self pay. i have an appointment for a consult on 25 may which i plan on attending. you never know what will happen. i hope things go great for you.
