can't make DVR's support group tonight

Cira, sorry but I will not be there tonight. I really wanted to go but I just cannot work things out without dropping another comittment I have. Anyway....hopefully next month. How many do you have to attend before surgery? love...Gail

Hi Gail - Hijacking Cira's thread here! I believe I only had to attend one support group before my surgery, but I did attend several as they were pretty informative. I'm not going to be able to make any of them until after June 18, when my niece's softball season ends. Hope somebody's taking notes for us!! Tia

Hi gail, Don't be sorry!! I will try to remember what they discussed and pm it to you. Lately I have been a scatter brain so don't count on it. lol I will see you in the next one. I didn't attend to any before my surgery I had been going to the ones in Crofton and I told DVR that. I just didn't have anybody to leave the kids with on the days that DVR meeting took place. Now hubby rearranges his days off so I can go to the meetings. he is a sweetheart. Take care and have a wonderful day! Hugs, Cira

Hi Gail, I'm Kerry. I did go to the support group and saw Tia there. Hi Tia. It was a really good group. I have been going to groups since last October pretty consistently. I have to say that I really enjoy when we get to talk together as a group and share each others successes and concerns. We got to do that for the May meeting. Barry led the group and it was really a nice one. I hadn't met Tia before but she spoke out a lot in the group and spoke about the complications she encountered after her sugery and that was really helpful. I hope you get to come to future groups. My surgery date is 6/1. Maybe I'll see you at the June meeting. kerry
