..makes it hard to get all my fluids in. I'm at my desk on the phone 2-3 hours in a row and its hard to get all the fluids in WITHOUT MOVEMENT. I realized a few Saturdays ago that, that was my problem when I was running a lot of errands and by 1 PM I'd drank 40 ounces of water. I leave home in the morning with either my homemade smoothie or a Dr. Atkins and it takes me about an hour to drink it and then get some water in me 30 minutes before lunch. We've been so busy my lunch doesn't happen until an hour after my designated time. Sometime when I get home, I eat -- I think too much. I trying to just have dinner and then water for the remainder of the evening. Anybody eat Soy Crisps? They are pretty good. I buy the small bags at Rite-Aid, I like the creamy ranch and sour cream and onion -- 7 to 9 grams of protein.

I also work at a desk. Luckily, I am able to get up periodically. I'll take walks outside, get soemthing to drink, etc. I know that I tend to drink more at night. I also learned to make sure I eat when it is time for me to eat. I have my snack sometimes, but lunch is always around 12. I made it clear years ago that I am diabetic and must keep to a schedule for my health. Maybe you can pull the this is in the interest of my health card at work. Good luck. Aime

I am sorry it is difficult for you to get all your fluids in while you are at work. I know for sure when I take a gulp in my mouth I have to swallow like 5 times before I say anything, so I can imagine it is difficult while you are there working. I believe you can tell them something like Aime said to make sure you get lunch in time. I don't know just a suggestion. As for the soy crisps I am goona have to go look for them to see how good they are. Sometimes I want to eat something crunchy and I better not even look at my kid's chips. lol Plus they have protein hey that is great. Take care Cira

I did get some water in at work today and took my 10 minute break and went down to the fitness center and did some weights. I was able to finish a liter. Yeah, the soy crisps are great. Especially the ranch flavored ones and glenny's have a sour cream and onion flavor that I'd found in Rite Aid and now they've replaced them with bar-b-que flavor. It's okay but not my favorite.

It really is hard to get the fluids in, but I have found a way to help! I found a 72 oz jug with a handle at Bed, Bath & Beyond (for about $2.99) Each morning I make it up with my crystal lite and protein shot (25 or 42 g depending on what meals I have packed for the day), and keep it with a cup on my desk in front of me. That way it is staring me in the face, and the past 5 days I have gottena all 72 oz in!! And I love Soy Crisps!!! My kids call them "chips" - love that they are seeing healthier alternatives growing up!
