Tragic Accident

I know all on here have watched the news and saw the tragic accident on the Bay Bridge. There were several people killed, including a son and his father from our community. Johnathon, the son, was a volunteer firefighter in Crumpton Volunteer Fire Department. He served that department along with my daughter. She is devastated at this tragic event. There is a candle light vigil tonight for him and his father at 7pm in Crumpton at the fire department for those who may live close enough to honor these brave men. They risked their lives everyday for free to save those in need, and died horribly. Say a prayer for the wife, mother, and younger brother. Love, Heather J.

Thank you all for your kind words........you sometimes take life for granted and then it takes something like this to remind you of how special ALL moments are. I could not even imagine losing my husband and a child at the same time.......I would lose my mind. I feel for my daughter who lost her friend, but my deepest sympathies are with the women who is planning a double funeral. The vigil went well. My daughter was extremely pissed (sorry) that reporters kept hounding everyone as they were grieving......when they approached her, mind you she was crying her eyes out, she abruptly stopped and replied " We just lost our friends, two brother fire fighters, why dont you let us grieve in peace and report on the weather or something". Needless to say, she wasnt on the 11 o'clock news! That was hard for her.....even tho she will speak her mind and felt as if she could have told them a hundred wonderful stories, she said that was not the time, she said it felt odd, as if the media was invading their privacy. I guess I can see her point. Again, thanks to all who are putting out prayers for this family. Love and Hugs, Heather J.
