Hi Gina, I don't know what to say about being hungry. Maybe it's head hunger. Keep following your doc's orders and you will be fine. Congrats. Wanda

Where did you have surgery at? I am one week out also. I don't feel hungry but I did have that feeling of thinking nothing happened because I was in no big pain. Continue to drink your liquids slowly and walk around. Whenever I feel hungry I just eat a ice pop or jello. Or try a nutritional drink. I am not really hungry but when I advance to soft foods I wil not be mad, ha ha ha, hang in there.

Are you getting in enough"protein" ? It curves the hunger pains somewhat, but only if you are getting in enough?? I try to get in 60-80grams per day? It also helps with your healing process. I'm a little over Six Weeks out, and I feel a okay!! Hope you feel better Soon!! Each day it gets better, Hang in There!! Peace. jbug

I'm not certain why you feel hungry. I didn't feel hungry until about 2 months out. Sip more slowly. You may be putting too much in too fast. Don't stretch you new tool. Go for a walk instead of eating. Thatmay help curb the apetite. Popscicles etc really do help to ease that thirst feeling. Good luck. Aime

Gina, Are you having Chicken broth? Keep drinking something every 30-45 minutes until you are on puree foods. I know its hard, but try not to think so much about food and just concentrate on each day. Are you walking? Keep drinking and keep walking.
