home from surg, hungry and dehyd.
Where did you have surgery at? I am one week out also. I don't feel hungry but I did have that feeling of thinking nothing happened because I was in no big pain. Continue to drink your liquids slowly and walk around. Whenever I feel hungry I just eat a ice pop or jello. Or try a nutritional drink. I am not really hungry but when I advance to soft foods I wil not be mad, ha ha ha, hang in there.
Are you getting in enough"protein" ? It curves the hunger pains somewhat, but only if you are getting in enough?? I try to get in 60-80grams per day? It also helps with your healing process. I'm a little over Six Weeks out, and I feel a okay!! Hope you feel better Soon!! Each day it gets better, Hang in There!! Peace. jbug
I'm not certain why you feel hungry. I didn't feel hungry until about 2 months out. Sip more slowly. You may be putting too much in too fast. Don't stretch you new tool. Go for a walk instead of eating. Thatmay help curb the apetite. Popscicles etc really do help to ease that thirst feeling.
Good luck.
