Impatiently waiting...:jump:

Hey everybody, I'm Lynette and I am impatiently waiting for a call from Dr. Greene's office with a surgery date. I finished up my last appointment about 2 weeks ago. That was my stress test and cardiac clearance. I know it sometimes takes the doctor's office a while to forward results. Even if the date is several weeks away, I just want to know when it is. I am a planner and I just don't want it to interfere with a conference I have in ATL in July , and I want to be 'in the groove' by the time my cruise rolls around in October. Insurance is not an issue. I have enjoyed reading the boards and learning about the different products I'll need. I am already stocked up for now on protein shakes and crystal light. I have been on the pre surgery diet for about a month. Replacing at least 1 meal with a shake. I'm excited to start my new way of life. My surgery will be done at Shady Grove, in Rockville.

Good luck Lynette!!!! You'll be in good hands with Dr Greene.... He did my G-bladder surgery in 2005. The few incisions i had healed beautifully. One thing to note about the C-light. After my surgury...any type of c-light tasted like i was sucking on a lead pipe.(a horrible metallic taste) It was about two months before i could drink it again...(no weird taste anymore) You'll be loosing before you know it...hang in there ~~~Kristina

Hi Lynette, I know what you mean. I don't have my appointment with Dr. S until July 2. I can't wait to get things going and then get to the other side. Hang in there and before you know it you'll be waking up in PACU, switched. Jo

Hi Lynette, I just joined the board today. Read your post. I too have Dr. Greene/Shady Grove. I am in the pre-op testing phase. UGH! Doing my sleep test tonight! Yee Haw. Best of luck, and keep us posted!

Welcome to the waiting train Kristy. Good luck on the sleep test. I have finally adjusted to my CPAP after a month.
