Hello Everybody! How is everyone? I think I'm back in the land of the living....I got home from volunteering at a great retreat over the weekend and I went to bed about 10:00pm Sunday evening and didn't wake up until 9am yesterday morning. I had gone on 3 1/2-4 hours of sleep for Thurs/Fri/Sat nights. Not complaining about it, just explaining why I slept so long. So how are things in your world? I'm doing great although I snacked/grazed (and ate chocolate candy) waaaaaay too much this past weekend. It's okay, I'm okay with the fact that at times, I will have these episodes. I will begin to worry if this becomes the norm and not the exception. I don't think it's going to happen because I only allow myself to gain 5lbs and then I'm back on the wagon. I haven't weighed myself since I got back. I've been trying to be not so obsessed with the scale. I've been trying to way myself just once a week (Fridays). How goes the eating/fluids/protein/supplements and exercise? I'm doing good on everything (excluding the weekend grazing/chocolate). I actually did get to walk alot this past weekend. So now that I'm past this retreat, I now am in the process of getting ready for a lower body lift on May 23rd. I'm trying not to get myself too worked up about it. Things are still hopping here at work, but I'm going to try to make a concerted effort to get on the board at least once every morning. Have a wonderful day! Take Care, Terry

Terry Sounds like the retreat and all your hard work was a success! Glad you had a good time with it. I'm making an effort to get my two shakes per day in. I do well with that Mon-Fri but not so much on Sat/Sun. I'm also trying NOT to graze .. or if I do to watch what I am grazing on and make better choices. I've lost a couple of pounds which is a good thing , now I need to string those couple into a couple more .. and so on .. etc. I had a 'freak' fall Saturday a.m. (I tripped over a shoe in my bedroom .. Tia says Lefty pushed it out in front of me ) and my left hip that usually acts up any way has been more of a problem. I did go to the gym after the fall on Sat a.m. and did the treadmill and walked a fair amount on Sunday and on the treadmill again yesterday, but this a.m. even though it was 'weight' day I just couldn't bring myself to go to the gym. I'm hoping that I'll go when I get home this evening, just to do a couple of rounds on the circuit. I'm taking today to do 'my' stuff here in the office and try to catch up a little. Last week I was busy with the cashiers and yesterday did that stuff to give B a chance to catch up on his stuff. I'll probably need to be in there Wed-Fri to help out again because he will need to be on a window. I've only got 6 more work days until vacation and I am soooo looking forward to being away, even if we just sit around the RV and veg for 12 days .. .. but I know we will be going and doing and busy busy busy while we are away too. Have a happy Tuesday. Hugs, Mo

Hi Terry. I haven't been on here in AGES. It's been super busy at work. The boys are keeping me hoppin' but I enjoy it. I have also taken on additional responsibilities so that will keep me from having much down time. I had a really busy weekend. We had our ladies tea party on Saturday. That was a lot of fun, very tiring, but loads of fun. I tried making scones for the tea party. It was total disaster. I am a pretty good baker but I was just not with it on Saturday. I planned on making two batches, one with nuts, one without. Well, the first batch went in the oven and about 4 minutes later I realized I forgot to put in the baking powder. Oh well, no worries, I am making another batch. So I was calm and cool and put the second batch into the oven. Well, about 5 minutes into those baking, I was putting away all my ingredients and realized that I didn't put baking powder in those either, I used baking soda!! So, both batches were gone. I didn't have enough of the flavor stuff for the scones so I didn't make any more. I did manage to come up with another item and that was a huge hit so it all worked out anyway. After the tea I went home and cleaned the kitchen really good. It was a disaster. Now for the rest of the house... On Sunday we went house hunting. We are trying to buy a house. It will be in Columbia, (not my favorite) but we put in an offer on a really big townhouse. It is bigger than what we are renting and in a nice neighborhood. We do have the bothersome Columbia Association to deal with for any changes to the outside of the house but I can live with that for awhile. We looked at 15 houses on Sunday. This was after I narrowed the list from well over 50. We really liked 3 and told the realtor to make an offer on one of them. We hope to hear something tonight. It's all happening so fast. I am excited about owning our own home, even if it is a townhouse. Well, back to work. It's really busy this PM so I need to keep up with things. Have a wonderful day. Your surgery date is going to be here so soon. I will likely not have surgery until August now since we will be moving at the end of July. I can't be recovering from a lower body lift and moving furniture! Hugs, Robin
