Hello Gang, I made it, home at last. The surgery went well. Started around 7:30am Thursday morning and ended around 1:30pm, due to a overly large liver, BUT still went well and was done Lapro. I didn't get into a room until after 6pm, but I had the VIP suite at GW, and was the envy of the Floor. Dr. Lee came to see my every day with about ten others throughtout the day and night. I felt so special and well taken care of. I didn't have too but I got up and out of bed the night of surgery with hubby at my side we walked and walked. He stayed there in the room and slept on the couch every night. But then his aunt had a heart attack and I sent him so see her. So he really haven't had time to post for me, sorry. I came home Sunday afternoon, and got really mad a hubby for taking his sweet time getting me home among other things. I guess I was just mad at the wheelchair folks at the hospital. Had me waiting for a chair over 15 minutes, I ended up walking to the elevator and going on my own(but the tech went with me) I was so mad, discharge and still waiting. But over all it was good. I held down everything I drank, Ensure, Glucerna, Water and Apple juice. And right now I am up walking around the apartment and sip sip sipping water. Waiting on UPs to delvier my Optisource, which they sent to Mo. and not MD to me, ha ha ha ha, I had a blast, not in much pain, really only the drainage tube area was sore, not the four lil incisions. and I really didn't use the happy button at all, they was kinda mad at that, but it felt so good to come home and shower. Talk to you all later, but to do my laps around the apartment, drop me a line.

Yvette - Welcome home, you LOSER!!! Oh, I'm so glad everything went well. Just don't overdo it, but do make sure you walk as much as you're able. It helps with everything. Sip, walk, repeat!!! Be compliant with all of your instructions and everything will fall right into place. Sorry to hear about your aunt-in-law's heart attack, I hope everything is under control there. So post when you can and be kind to yourself, Tia

I'm surprised you can have that much sugar. As we have learned each doctor is different. I have to keep my grams of sugar un 5. Atkin's Advantage is very low sugar. Got to drink it very cold though. Welcome home!!!! Welcome to the Losing side. Aime

Hey Yvette, I'm glad everything went well. I hope things continue to go well. I hear you on the wheelchair. I waited 90 mins and finally walked out. They kept saying just a few more minutes. Oh well, that part is over now and it's time to heal. Take care, Wanda
