Happy Thursday

Good Morning Everyone So how is everyones week been so far? It is almost Friday YAY!!!! Well my inspection went good yesterday. She was very pleased with everything. I had some things missing from my emergency kit that hubby picked up on the way home yesterday so I have to call her today and fax a letter saying I got them and then she sends all her paperwork to her supervisor for final approval. I got to request the amount of children so I told her I thought 4 would work for me. 1 child under the age of 2 and 3 children ages 2-12. I think I can handle 4 for roght now. She said I could have 6 because I have 5 sleep mats and a playpen but I think that would be much for right now. I can add 2 more if I want. I think it is a mater of some paperwork but lets see how 4 goes. I was a little upset because I thought she gave me my certification right then and there but they dont. I planned on getting the word out today, she said I could advertise and interview but I do not have an exact start date so parents might be unsure, especially if they need right away. So I will wait till I have that piece of paper in my hand. She said they have 30 days to get it to me but it doesnt take that long so I am thinking maybe 2 weks. Thats about all I can take right now (emotionally and mentally) Well I hope you all enjoy your day.

Kelly You are almost there!!! I really admire you for taking on day care. I think you are right to start with 4 and expand if you are comfortable with the 4. Sorry you still have the delay, but there is always paperwork in a licensing process. See you tonight at the library! Hugs, Mo

Thanks Mo. I have heard that alot from people. That they applaud me for doing this but I dont think I could do anything else. I was a hairdresser and began school when I was 15 and it just isnt as fullfilling as helping raise a child. I hate paperwork...lol but good things come to those who wait and I had to wait for my surgery and now this. See you tonight

Kelly...that is great that the inspection is finally over. Now, just relax and maybe start to advertise by word of mouth. BTW...you could get licensed for 6 and only take 4 on. Gail

I am relaxing now I have stressed myself to the core. I should of done 6 but I am happy with 4. With my space of my house 6 would be to much for me to handle. I have a good group of moms that are waiting for me to tell them I am open so they can spread the word. So getting kids I think will be easy (I cross my fingers and pray)

You got that piece of paper in the bag. Great news. I am glad this is finally over and you can start living your dream.
