Happy Monday!
Hey everyone -
Yikes, traffic was a mess this a.m.! The overturned tractor-trailer and subsequent Med-Evac had everything tied up all over. Hope everyone makes it to work safely.
I had a busy weekend. On Friday night, Gary gave me a crash course in how to keep score for softball! I truly am sports-challenged. I understand it to watch it, but to keep score.... K had a softball tourney on Saturday at 8:30, her team played two games, lost both, but did well. K made a spectacular double play if I do say so myself. The first game was really tough for me to track, it seems like it moved so fast. I kind of caught on in between the two games, though, so the second one was better. Tonight's the first "official" game at 6:00, so I'll be there, keeping score. Saturday was such a long day though, the field was about a mile away from where we parked, so by the time we walked back and forth and switched fields, it was about 4 miles!! So by the time all was said and done, I was sore, tired and sunburned. I had a great time, especially when I thought back to being a pre-op. We kind of had the same routine, and at that time, I thought I was going to die, especially doing all that walking. So it was nice to be only half-dead, not totally dead!!!!! Most of the girls seem to realize it's just a game and we want them to do their best, blah, blah, but OMG! the hormones and the attitudes. Two of the girls were ticked because we made them take their earrings out, two of the players (including K), got whacked on the legs with a ball from the pitcher, one of them called the other team fat (OMG! Hell flew through me on that one, and I told her that if I EVER heard that word out of her mouth again, she'd sit out for the next two games!!! Fat is a four-letter word to me!! All in all, though, it was fun, and I was able to do it! Yay!
Sunday, I was up cooking and ironing K's clothes, then I ran some errands and did some typing, finishing up in time to watch 7th Heaven and The Sopranos - the only two shows I make an effort to watch.
So here it is, Monday, and I've got a funeral to attend this afternoon, softball tonight and Wednesday, a gyn appt. on Thursday, and who knows what else. Hope everyone has a great week. Make sure now that the weather is getting warmer that you get in all your fluids, and, of course, don't forget to water your mailman!!!
Take care,
Tia
Hi Tia
Sounds like a busy weekend. Mine was good. Had a scrapbooking thing all day Saturday which was fun then afterwards went to dinner with my mom and god-mom. We all were at the scrapbooking thing together since my mom is a Creative Memories consultant. That was nice some Mom time. Then sunday was lazt house day. Just did some laundry catched up on some movies and shows. I posted about my exciting daycare inspection I just scheduled for wednesday so now I am in full cleaning mode. So much to do. Hope you enjoy your day the weaher is turning out good. I'm sorry for the funeral you have to attend today. Your in my thoughts and prayers. Enjoy the game tonight I am not a sports person so keeping score I would be so dumbfounded on that...lol. Have a good one

Hey Kell -
Glad you had a good weekend, too! I'm in awe of you scrapbookers - it's just not something I can get into, don't really know why, but I did receive a beautiful, "do it yourself" kind for my 40th bday. So once I have pictures developed from my celebration, I'm sure I'll have to sit down and put it together. Hopefully, I'll get it done before I turn 50!!!!
I'm sure the inspection will go well - you've worked so hard for this!
The funeral will be sad - it's the brother of a friend of the family - the man had some debilitating disease and wasn't supposed to live past his childhood, but lived to be 53!!! I'm sorry for my friend, she was very devoted to her brother. I've never been to a Jewish funeral before, so it should be interesting, as morbid as that sounds!!
Yes, I am scorebook-challenged, but since no one else has "stepped up to the plate," I volunteered to do it for the girls. There was a bleacher-full of parents on Saturday and when I asked if anyone knew how to keep score, just so they could help me, only one girl's granddad stepped up! Thank goodness for him and my Dad!!! Well, it's a learning process, so I should have it down by the end of the season!!!
I haven't forgotten the $$ for the picnic, I have a dr. appt. on Thursday to see when he can schedule my hysterectomy and plastics, and since I'm trying to wait until after my OC vacay in July, I'm afraid it might conflict. As soon as I know....
Take care,
Tia
