Protein and The Department of Homeland Security
So....the phone rings at 4:00am this morning...and I'm woke up from what I'm sure is an absolutely fantastic dream. On the other end of the phone is Inspector Blah-de-Blah from The Department of Homeland Security/US Postal Service.
Inspector Blah-de-Blah apologized for waking me up, but was calling me to find out if I had been expecting a package of something that would contain a powdered substance. He said the package had been damaged and was leaking a powder substance and the US Postal Facility had been shut down. He said they need to take whatever action is necessary to get the postal facility back up and running.
Even though in a sleepy stupor, I knew right away what it was. "Why yes, I had been expecting a package of protein samples" I tell him. He asked me a few questions and I tried my best to get my brain to work. I told him the name of the company, etc. and he thanked me and said he wasn't sure that my package would be deliverable as it had been damaged pretty badly. The lady at the protein manufacturer had sent me two sample packets in a regular postal envelope (with no padding) and when the envelope was processed through the rollers at the postal facilities, it was damaged.
So how are you this morning. I'm sitting here drinking my protein (which has been discontinued) which is why the company was sending me samples to begin with - so I could find a replacement that I like.
My sister (who moved in with us over the weekend) was like "well I guess this just isn't a sleeping house - my alarm had woke her up at 4:30 yesterday morning)...I told her "hey, look at the bright side, at least the alarm clock didn't wake you up this morning"
So, how's your Tuesday morning going so far?
Have a wonderful day!
Take Care,
Terry

That is a funny story. Especially the part about the alarm not waking your sister today.
Today is a much better day that the past several. I am still swamped at work and trying my best to get a really good system going for staying on top of things better. But all in all I am in a much better mood and not angry with the world anymore.
I also feel more in control of my eating again. I am still craving chocolate but I don't feel like I could kill for it.
I had better get back to work. I really want to get some tasks done today. So I had better get busy!!
Have a great day. Robin
