Just Curious.....
I am still awake...cant sleep....I have a thousand questions going through my head, which I know is normal. I found out this week that the organization I work for is being RFP'ed ( request for proposals)......which means I may lose my job at the end of the fiscal year (6/30/07!!!!!). I am sooo stressed out! Then I am amped up and excited about wls, and hoping my insurance approves everything.
Sorry, I am rambling. I guess I needed to vent. The hubby is trying to keep up with my emotional roller coaster but I feel like I am wearing him out. My virtual friends seemed like the next best thing. It is better than raiding the fridge and setaling my daughters strawberry cheesecake icecream..........
If you are still reading this extremely boring and pointless blog, I do apologize for rambling.
But I do have a question.....
anyone here had a consult or surgery with Dr. Averbach? Would love comments, opinions, and so forth.......and about St.Agnes too. I feel comfortable with my decision, however I am still looking for some personal experiences with them. I could read everyday from the testimonies, but I feel safer getting advice from people I trust, like you!
Ok, I rambled enough....Please forgive me
Love ya all,
Heather J.
Hi Heather,
Dr. Singh did my surgery. He is Dr. Averbach's partner. They both are wonderful doctors. Dr. Averbach was on call the weekend I was in the hospital, so I dealt with him too. I would recommend their practice to anyone researching WLS. I had my surgery at St. Agnes. I went in on Friday morning and was discharged Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. I had lap RNY. I was nervous and scared going in, but everyone their helped to reassure me and ease my nervousness. When I wheeeled into the OR I wasn't nervous at all and ready to begin my new life. The care while I was there was excellent. I had a private room (which they do for all WLS patients), I never had to wait more than a few moments when I pushed the call light. Everyone went out of their way to make me comfortable and help in any way needed. I wasn't from that area and all my family was 70 miles away. My husband did make the drive everyday to see me, but it sure helped having such caring people taking care of me too. It definately made the entire experience easier.
