Hi everyone, Had my first post-op visit today with my surgeon. She says I am doing great!!! My incisions looked good. She advanced me to pureed foods and gave me the go ahead to start walking on the treadmill. I'm so happy about that, I have been moving around a lot but getting back into my treadmill routine will be nice. But, the best thing about my visit is that I AM 217!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That means: I lost 17lbs since wls on April 5, and I have lost 35 lbs since my pre-op visit March 13!!! Although you have to take into consideration my 2 week liquid diet before surgery but still. I am just so happy to be 217 right now. My next goal is to be down to 200 by my next visit May 1st, although I would love to see 199 My acid reflux has subsided so she told me to hold off on the prilose****il it flares up again, then call her and let her know. I have been getting much better sleep now and in my own bed so happy about that. I ordered opti-source multivitamins from walgreens and she said I only need 2 in the morning and 2 at night and that incudes all my vitamins, this is just for baratric patients so I'm excited about that, mine should be here today!!!! Do you guys have any advice for my puree diet? She gave me a long list of things I can eat and how much but just would like some advice from you guys too and see what everyone else ate during this time. Thanks again for everything!!!

Congrats Jamie! You are doing great! Some of my favorite things on pureed were mashed potato with a little condensed cream of chicken soup as like a gravy, cottage cheese for the protein especially, and egg drop soup from the Chinese restaurant! Keep up the good work! Lisa

WTG Jamie! Sounds as if things are rolling along smoothly. The weight loss is fantastic. Fat free re-fried beans with cheese melted on top is always a hit. Soft, scrambled eggs. Puddings with protein powder added. Tuna, blended to a softer consistency. It's been a while, but that's what I can come up with. Keep us updated, and walk that treadmill! How much were the Opti-source vits? TraciL

I'm going to the store today to pick up a few things. I want to try the refried beans and the cheese on top sounds delicious at this point : -D I want to try some tuna too, but a little scared because of the mayo but I'll take it slow. The opti-source vitamins were $26, but you can only purchase them online from walgreens.com, that brand also has protein bars and shakes. I'm just using the vitamins so far. I had my first 2 this morning and I like them, so much easier!!!

Great news on the weight loss. It is an exciting ride. Take the new diet very slowly. One thing at a time. I never actually pureed any of my food. I just made sure it was very soft. I think soup was my friend and still is 6 mos post. Keep up the good work. Aime
