dr Roe liquid diet

Anyone out there know if Dr Roe does a preop liquid diet? I am not approved yet, but I am curious. Thank you Bonnie R

Bonnie, Dr. Roe did my surgery 12/17/03. At that time he did not require a preop liquid diet. He's a great Dr. and his staff is also wonderful. Best of luck to you. Lori 308/193

Hi Bonnie, No liquid diet. He just doesn't want you to gain a lot of weight before your surgery. I gained one pound between first visit and pre-op visit. Surprising with all my last meals. lol He also doesn't pump you full of gas. I think that is a lap/rny thing. No drain tube, unless your stomach is extra moist. Now he does pump you full of fluids. I gained 20 pounds from just the fluid and it took 4-5 days after surgery to get rid of that before the real weight started coming off. You will do great. Wanda

I had my surgery with the Doc. in June'o6 and there was no liquid diet. I had a blast before and didn't gain tons of weight. Your in great hands and a great office staff Good luck.
