2nd month weigh in for supervised diet
I am really nervous about next Wednesday. I have to get weighed again. The first month I lost 5 1/2 lbs but I know I have gained this time. I can feel it! I do not own a scale anymore because I could not stay off of it when I tried to lose weight in the past. It sort of became an obsession.
Have any of you guys gained so early on your supervised weightloss? How does DVR's office handle it? I don't want to be afraid to go in there next week. lol
Gail
Gail,
Don't be afraid. If you were good at dieting then you would not be in the position to need this surgery. Just go in, get weighed, listen to the advice and go on with things.
Question...is this the diet for the insurance co or the pre-surgery, you need to shrink your liver diet?
In either case, just make the necessary adjustments and get on with things. You and DVR are grown ups. This is not a 3rd grade spelling test!
Remember you are doing this for you. Follow what your doctor recommends and let what comes come!
Keep up your positive attitude and keep your eye on the prize!
Take care and good luck next Wednesday!

Hi Gail,
I totally agree with Dave and his advise.
The major thing you need to do during this 6 month supervised weight loss visits is to not gain weight. You are not required to lose weight either. So if you gained this month which is only your second visit Sloan is going to sitdown with you and give you ideas on what to do to keep your weight the same or lose weight. You have another 4 months of not gaining so you will be alright.
I gained on my 5th month visit it was right after Thanksgiving and right before Christmas. I had gained almost 5 pounds I was so sure my insurance would not approve me. I was scared of what DVR and Sloan would say but all went fine and for the next month I stucked to the program and I lost like 3 1/2 pounds. That was my last supervised visit and I was approved quickly.
So don't worry sweetie we have all been there and done that. You will do just fine.
Hugs

Thank you dear Cira. I feel a little better now. Sometimes I don't think it has actually hit me that I am going to have weight loss surgery.
I am going to try real hard to get back on track. Since Easter and right before I have been hitting the sugar pretty hard and I did not go to the gym at all last week.
Oh well......keep on keeping on.
