Lap band Surgery

That's so great -- thanks to the folks on these forums I am going to look into Bayview. Please let me know how you are doing, I'm sure you'll be doing great! I have BC/BS FEP for federal employees, it's supposed to be one of the best in covering this surgery. Plus, Bayview and St. Agnes (and Sinai, I think) are all Blue Centers of distinction as well as being Centers of Excellence. I know (or I think I know) what you mean about the seminar -- my husband says with all my research, I could teach the seminar. Doubtful, but I was wondering what it was going to tell me I didn't already know about. Take care and keep us all posted! Hugs, N

Hi Nancy, Dr.Schweitzer at Bayview is not a participating provider of BC/BS, but the hospital and the aneithesiologist are. So, I need to pay him his fee up front and BC/BS will reimburse me at the POS level.Which means I need to pay a 500 deductable and then I will be reimbursed the remainder.
