Heather....congratulations on your new insurance.
I just wanted to let you know that my hubby was against the surgery too. I took him with me for my first consult with the doctor and from then on he started to turn around. He still would rather that I did not go through with it but he will support me if it is what I want to do.

My hubby isn't really against it, he is just full of questions and what if's......he is acting like a woman would generally act, which I find hilarious!!!!! I would like to find a spouse that has been through the whole process as a bystander who would talk to him.

congrats heather wishing you the best of luck. hope to join you guys soon on that bench. my boyfriend really doesn't want me to do the surgery because he is afraid that i will not make it through but i assured him that is what all the testing i am going through is for. he had a stroke last year and he is afraid he won't be able to take care of daily things that i remind him of now. he has permenant brain damaged. short term memory loss. he will never get that part of his memory back. he just keeps saying, "what if something happens to you? what will i do" the more your husband finds out about the surgery then i think he will relax a little. it is a scarey surgery, alot to deal with before and after. right now i am dealing with the before stuff. hoping things work out for you and hubby.
