Thank you! I dont know if excited is the right word.....its like a natural high to know that my life can be transformed! Like a catepillar in a cacoon....... Yeah, lunch is defintely in our future. maybe we can hit one of the crofton meetings together and meet some of these people from here! Heather

kelly, Thank you! Yes, this site is amazing! The psych doctor I went to pulled it up while I ws right in his office. Guess he wanted to make sure I had not blown it out of proportion!!! I am trying to do all my research and attempting to change a few bad habits before I meet with Dr. Averbach in June. By that time I will have 7 months supervised dieting, several months of labs, a sleep study, my psych eval, and I meet with the nutrionist the same day I am at Dr. Averbach's. I hope I have enough of what they need and wont have to continue the wait! Thanks again for the support! Heather

Heather - Hang in there !!! we are all right here!! My Dr. is Dr. Magnuson too, and he was fantastic. Some folks don't want to work with him, because he does the surgery open - instead of laproscope. What happens inside is exactly the same - however, Dr. M will snatch your gall bladder while there (is you still have it). That prevents problems later with the gall bladder. I encourage you to come to the Bayview Support groups - and continue to collect all the information you can. Just meeting people and hearing their stories help me alot. Jeff, Thank you! I really enjoyed meeting with Dr. Magnesun in November, but of course I got denied by my insurance. I have had Dr.Averbach/Singh referred to me and have been researching them. I have really been impressed with what I have read about them both. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!!!! Heather
