can you all believe that I can finally say I am one month post op! I am happy to report that this week has been a bit better. I am not at 100% yet but lets say maybe at 80%. I am thankful that I have been able to eat some chicken breast nice, soft juicy 3 oz with a little mashed potatoes. I was so scared to get sick but I didn't so I am so thankful for that. Because on Sunday I tried refried beans with sour cream and a little spagetti sauce (less than a teaspoon) I think I dumped for the very first time with that. Never again Yuck! lol I haven't done too good with exercise I still get winded and it still hurts a little to take a deep breath but it is better not like before. So when I get on the treadmill I do 5 minutes, then when I get on it again I do 6 minutes and so forth until I can do more. I bought these stretch bands to do some exercise for my arms but man after I tried it I had to take a 2 hour nap! I was exhausted!! lol I also bought these dvd called Yoga booty something cause my butt has left the building! lol So I started to do the yoga part and soon hopefully soon I can start toning up some. I am sleeping on my back without being propped and I am happy to be able to sleep on my sides for the last 4 nights. This is progress for sure! I updated my profile and tomorrow I will post 1 month photos since today Gino was to busy to take pics of me before he left to work. Thanks to everyone that has supported me through this difficult past month. I am finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Praise God! Hugs to all. Cira

Good eats -- I didn't know we could have mashed potatoes since it is a starch! I feel you on that being tired after exercising. When I first started I'd do 2 days in a row and have to rest the next 2 days. I don't think I even celebrated one month -- well I'll keep the second one in mind to celebrate.

Hey mashed potatoes is my best friend I buy the Idaho box and that has been my life saver. It would be good if you take monthly photos so you can see the transformation right before your eyes. I believe we do not see much of a big difference with our selves so taking monthly photos will definitely convince you how good you are doing. lol Girl celebrate every month this is your new life! hugs, Cira

I'll be taking one tomorrow prior to leaving for church. I can see the difference already -- especially in my clothing. I'll be posting another at least by Tuesday. My niece's school is working on a project called Flat Stanley -- this paper fella is sent to different people all around and helps the kids located other cities and countries. My niece sent me Flat NeTreace -- so today I took her to Lexington Market and the Washington Monument in Mt. Vernon and took pictures of her at the various locations. So I have a few film left to take pcis and will be dropping them off for developing on tomorrow and hopefully pick them up Monday or Tuesday and overnight the stuff back to the school.

I glad you can see in difference with your weight loss. How much have you lost so far? I can't see the difference at all with me. Hey that sounds pretty cool about Flat NeTreace. I hope she get's an A! Hugs Cira

Hiya Cira.....I am glad to see you are feeling soooo much better! I have been following posts on you and was glad to see you pull through everything. It did force me to take a step back and realize that not all surgeries are 100% complication free.......but it did not scare me at all. Keep up the great work and stay positive! I hope to be following you to the losers bench soon......well sooner or later! God Bless and Happy Easter! Heather J.

Cira, I'm so glad that your recovery is rolling along. Sounds as if your not rushing it, and that's a good thing. Your body has been through a lot, and it probably appreciates the baby steps that you're taking. Stay positive, do as the Doc says, keep researching, and find what fits best in your WLS journey. Take care! TraciL
