I have a question that is bothering me

While waiting to get surgery, has anyone ever had second thoughts? One day I have them and the next day I cannot wait to get surgery. It is very confusing to me and I just need to know if that is kind of normal at this stage. Gail

VERY VERY VERY NORMAL I researched WLS for 2 years and went back forth about making the decision. I can tell you this...now that my only regret now is that I didn't do it sooner Tanya

WOW! Tanya read my mind - amazing! But she's right, it's completely normal for your emotions to rollercoaster. After all, it's a life-changing procedure. Like Tanya, my only regret is that I didn't have this sooner - like 20 years ago!! Don't be too hard on yourself - and just WAIT until your hormones go nuts after surgery!! OMG! It is SO much fun! Remember, estrogen is stored in fat cells, and when you rapidly lose weight like you will, ALL those hormones rush your bloodstream!! WHEW! Had my head spun around, my poor Mom wouldn't have been surprised! Things level out after a while, and you'll be fine! The pros so OUTWEIGH (PUN INTENDED) the cons! Take care, Tia

Hi Gail it is totally normal to have those thoughts. It is scary thinking of surgery but it is well worth it and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I almost backed out the night before surgery. I was a mess. I have had such success with it though...I'm glad that I went through with it. Going back and forth is so normal though. You'll continue to do that. Best wishes as you go through this journey.
