how long is it gonna take?

Im getting scared and impatient, i know i shouldnt but i cant help it. I was told by my insurance company (Kaiser) it will only take 9mo. from the time i start the 6mo with the nutritionist to all the testing ect. Ive passed all the testing, Ive done everything they have asked, 9mo was in october here it is april and i want to cry. I meet with my surg again on the 9th he is dr Von Rueden. but i dont know how much i can take i feel like im being strung alone and the surg is to good to be true for me. Gina

Did Kaiser appoint you to Dr.VonRueden? I know they gave me a choice but I would have to pay out of pocket to see him so I just went with who they chose for me which was Dr.Lee at George Washington University. I started the whole process in August 2006, got approved February 2007, met with my surgeon the same month and my surgery is scheduled for April 5th!!!! Sorry to hear your having such a hard time, Kaiser was excellent for me and I couldn't have asked for anything better!!!! Let me know if I can help you any.

yes kaiser told me to go to Dr Von Rueden. first they said dr lee but then when it came time to see a dr they sent me to him.

Gina - Have you contacted Dr. Von Rueden's office? If not, call Cherie - her duties have changed from that of front desk person to patient advocate. I can't begin to imagine what the holdup could be, but whatever the reason, she'll be able to tell you. Although their system is automated, keep pressing keys (I think option #6****il you get a live person!!!! I know they have extended hours on Wednesdays, so maybe that would be a good day to call. Tia thanks yes i have been to see him once thats when they told me i needed to get chest xray ect. my next appt is on the 9th. I hope i get better news then. Its just so hard when everyone is getting their dates and im still in limbo
