New in Maryland
Hello My husband, family and I have just relocated to Maryland. He just retired from the military after 24 years of faithful service in the Air Force and is working locally. We've never been to Maryland (unless you counting the short drive through once) and it's been good so far. We've been here two weeks now. I had surgery a year ago January. It's been a good experience for me and I'm just enjoying a thinner life now.
Any words of wisdom for living in Maryland?
Thanks!
Hey Kim -
Just a quick hello today! I'm playing softball-aunt - kind of like a soccer-mom, but not, and have to run to pick up my niece and nephew. Anyway, just wanted to welcome you to MD and to the Maryland Board! We're a great group - I love all these folks. Where are you living?
I'll post more to you tomorrow when I have a little more time!
Take care,
Teresa (Tia)

Welcome to both Maryland and the Maryland state board. We have a lively bunch that posts on the board as well as plays off off the board (if you scroll down a bit you will see Traci's post with pictures from Saturday's outing to Dave & Buster's to go bowling). We are always happy to have new folks join in the fun and look forward to seeing more of you!
Hugs, Mo
Welcome to Maryland, Kim!!
I have lived here all my life. Love it!! I lived down in your area with my husband for 4 years about 10 years ago. I now live near the Annapolis area. I have not had my surgery yet - not until this July. But we have a great support group here. The support group that I attend is in Crofton - Crofton Library. And what a nice bunch.
Anyway welcome!!
Kathy
Hi Kim!
Welcome to Maryland and the MD boards! Great group here and always wonderful to meet new 'Losers'! I've been in Maryland for almost twenty years and love it! Words of wisdom for living in Maryland? Seafood, seafood, seafood!!! LOL Old Bay and seafood!!!! Was a very happy girl when I was able to eat seafood after WLS. Take care, enjoy living here and post away! Also, we do try to get together at least every 6 weeks or so and do something in the surrounding areas. You are always welcome to join in the fun! Plus a good way to see more of the state. Have a great day and hope to see you around!
