Rough Weekend...

Hi All, Sorry I have been away from the boards for a couple of days. The preliminary assessment is that I have contracted the flu. LOL...how wonderful! Saturday morning we had an egg hunt in the court for the kids. I went up with the girls and we all had a great time. When I got back, though, I started feeling very tired. Over the next couple of hours, I went from tired to exhausted and started getting chills and body aches. Food started tasting very bad. For the first time in my life, I actually had to 'Make' myself eat. I really did not want anything and everything I put in my mouth made me want to gag. The only thing that made me feel any better was sleep and fluids. I really increased my fluids, but the 1/2 hour before during and after meals, without fluids, was torture. I am feeling a little better today but still not back to normal. Here is something interesting. They keep asking me if I feel nauseous. I really don't know. I have not thrown up since the operation so I am not really sure if that gaging sensation while I was eating is feeling nauseous or just not wanting to eat. Funny...I can't even tell you what nauseous feels like anymore. Oh well...just my own little issues...(and in the end they are "little"). Hope everyone else had a great, flu free, weekend. Dave

Hi Dave, I hope you continue to feel better. I know what you mean about the nausea. That's the one thing about throwing up after RNY - it's not much since the pouch holds so little. I had a good weekend, was just very busy and had an unexpected curve thrown my way on Saturday morning and I wasn't able to attend the get together at Dave and Buster's. Take Care, Terry

Hi Dave, I am sorry you had a rough weekend. I hope and pray that you are feeling better now. I had a tough Sunday I think I dumped for the very first time and it was awful. I don't ever want to that again. I am still having issues with getting in all my liquids. But I am trying hard today and I am only up to 20 ounces as of right now. As for gagging and stuff I consider that nausea and if you have any zolfram that will help with the nausea until you feel better. I have the medicine but I hat to cru**** Yuck! Take care and I am so glad to hear from you. Hugs, Cira your pal
