Today is my first day of doing a strict slim fast diet. I attempted ths several years ago, but I did it stupidly. I didnt eat right and found myself admitted to the hospital. But now that I am smarter ( or at least I think I am...LOL) I am doing it correctly. This morning I had a shake, and a low fat pina colada yogurt. Lunch was a shake and a killer garden salad. I had two slim fast snacks today.....they said eat 4, but I didnt want 4, or feel like I was hungry enough for 4!!! Dinner was steamed broccoli, grilled tuna, and a small fruit salad. It went well. I finally tried that protein shake I had questioned ya all about! EEEEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!! It was definitely NASTY! I couldnt even make it thru the first sip. But I am determined to try another brand. I guess thats what I get for being cheap and shopping on the clearance aisle! At least the slim fast tastes good. My daughters have travelled to Ohio for their spring break.....14 &11 and they are taking spring break! Since they are younger they remembered that today was April Fools Day.....I forgot! My oldeset called me and said she had lost her little sister in a mall....she was crying and everything. My heart dropped and I started crying......then they both screamed April Fools! I will definitely burn some calories when they get back cuz I am gonna chase them around with my fly swatter! LOL......it scared the devil outta me!!! Well I guess I will close for today.....gotta get ready for the upcoming work week.....everybody be safe and have a great week!!! Heather

Heather You may find that your tastes change after WLS so that something you might like protein wise now you won't like after surgery. Your menu for today sounds yummy though! I soooo hate April fool's tricks!!! I guess I just don't have a sense of humor about it! Have fun chasing the girls around with the fly swatter! Hugs, Mo

Heather, that sounds like a wonderful menu for the day. Keep up the good work. Stay busy and keep your mind off of obsessing about food. It's amazing how it can over ride all other aspects of our lives, when we obsess about a food item. Change your scenery, activity level, train of thought. Just try to trick your mind! Easier said than done, I know, but it's been known to work. As much as a prankster that my hubby and kids are, I had no April Fool pranks played on me. Yea!!! Have a great week. TraciL
