Happy April 1
Good Sunday morning all
Bowling at Dave & Buster's yesterday was fun. I've never been 'moonlight/disco' bowling at noon time before .. I guess it is the atmosphere there all the time. I was glad to be using their glow in the dark ball .. I would NEVER have seen my own ball I think that is something I might try to get Mr Mo to go do with me another time. I think it would be a blast to go on a Saturday night with a group, but I'll bet it gets crazy in there with the bar and all.
Lunch was yummy too. I still have my left overs .. might nibble on them later today for lunch or save them for a couple of lunches this week to go with my salad. Aime and I walked around the mall and did some shopping after lunch. When we split up and I headed back to Big Blue, I was craving ice cream and like a total fool I stood in line at Carvel (I should never have had the patience to stand in line). I got the wrong thing and definitely the WRONG size item, and put myself in a state of misery. I needed to stop at Michael's to get a gift card which I did manage to do but then I couldn't get home fast enough. I was in major dump mode. It's hard to throw up ice cream, but I managed .... I had about an hour until we were supposed to meet Jeff & Wendy, so I laid down on the bed .. I'm not sure I've ever had such a bad episode with the racing heart, etc. I think I may have FINALLY learned a lesson!!!! We did go out to dinner, but I didn't eat anything except a bread crust that I nibbled on. Just had a diet coke with lime to sooth my tummy.
I've got a list of things that need to be done today. I've been elected (or volunteered) to take care of some social things for my office this week, so I have a birthday card and a goodbye card to purchase, a cake to order from Sam's, and of course my own shopping to do. I am thinking that the best course is to tell Mr Mo we need to go out to breakfast to get me out of the house. I've been fixing him waffles on Sunday a.m. for a few weeks and we haven't been doing our usual out to the truck stop thing, but then I get lazy and barely get dressed and don't go out to do the errands.
Who's lurking .. and who's not ??? Whatcha up to today???
Hugs, Mo
P.S. Traci I can't wait to see the pictures from yesterday!!! I definitely have to get a smaller camera so I've always got it with me
Even though I proved to be the worst bowler I had fun. I was surprised when I actually knocked more than one or two pins down a few times. Maybe if I do this more often, I'll get the hang of it.
My lunch is still in the fridge. I might fix a plate of it for lunch and then offer the rest to my son. I really enjoyed walking and shopping with Mo. I'd like to do something like that more often. I find it so hard to movtivate myself to do things alone.
I suppose I should clean my house today. I hate vacuuming. Not only is it housework, I get awful headaches afterwards from stirring up so much dust. But if I don't do it, no one else that resides in this house will. I had thought of going and looking for some plants for my garden outside. It looks like it is going to be an overcast and chilly day.
I hope everyone makes the best of it.
PS
Cira- your family is adorable. I can also see how Gino just beams at you. and Girl- You are starting to look so good!!!!!
Smooches,
Aime
Aime,
I'm up for shopping/walking the mall ALMOST any time!!! As I said to you yesterday, it's nice to have 'friends' to meet for lunch and do things with.
When we get back from our Charlotte race trip in May, Mr Mo is probably going to be off on Saturdays again and I'm sure he'll be happy to have me find other things to do so he doesn't have to 'entertain' me!!
Talk to you soon.
Hugs, Mo
My hubbie and i liked bowling too... (and it really was only his second time actually bowling).
As for the mall....WOW wish i lived closer.... We only got halfway down the one side before husband decided our checkbook had had enough... (well that and we had two three big bags....)
Husband stopped at the gaming store (i've never seen one of those before) but it put a glint in his eye. I got some things at Modells for a friend of mine. Stopped at the 5 below store for some easter basket stuff for my daughter. Then i found the Sketcher store where i picked up a really cute gold pair of those biking/walking sneaks. They kinda look like mary janes. They will be cute to wear to work and i won't have to change into sneaks to walk at lunch.
I wanted to look around more but we needed to run a couple more errands before picking up our daughter. Definately another day.... (maybe a rainy day)
On the way out, it was different to see how hard core D&B was on keeping unaccompanied minors out of there. We didn't get carded. (guess we look too old).
But my husband liked all the games and stuff so i can see maybe a night out in our future.
Hey Kris
It was great that y'all made the trip down this way to go to D & B's. It was fun to meet you both.
Mr Mo and I will go to Arundel Mills sometimes on a Sunday just to walk. That's not to say that I don't duck into the occasional store, but we do at least a lap if not two of the mall.
Hugs, Mo
WOW Moie! Sorry about the dumping you had. Have you had ice cream do that to you before? Glad to hear you learned your lesson. WHOO! Scary stuff.
I'm about to run to the grocery store while Kylie is napping (Daddy staying home with her) and then I'll return to do laundry. Just a gloomy day to stay home and do laundry and watch a movie.
Yesterday I had to perform Lacross Step Mom duties -- its okay but not a sport I quite understand yet.
Today I'm at wor****il 4:30 and then need to conduct some household shopping -- look out Target here I come.
Where is the Dave and Buster's around the Baltimore area?
Glad all who were able to go had a most excellent time.
NaDine,
I'm guessing that Lacross Step-mom duties are sort of like soccer mom duties? Of course not having any kids, I don't quite get that one either, but I've seen friends and co-workers do LOTS of that!
There's a D & B's at Arundel Mills, that's where we were yesterday. It was a Jillians when the mall first opened several years ago.
Hugs, Mo
