Good morning Everyone
Hey there!
I hope that everyone is doing well on this cool morning. I am so threw with this colder weather. My hands and toes are cold today. I have the heater on by my desk. I guess it'll be this way during spring. I just don't remember all of this from last year. Although I was recovering from my surgery at that time so I was probably thinking about that instead of the cold. I do remember it being very cold when I came home from the hospital last March.
Yesterday was a bit busy at work for me. I didn't have time to get on the boards even once. Today looks pretty quiet so I hope to go over my work and make sure I haven't overlooked anything. I have felt for a few days that I am forgetting to do something or have let the ball drop somewhere so today I am going to double check myself.
Doing better with my eating again. I think that my cycle really wreaks havic on my eating. I was ravenous for about 3-4 days. Then bam, Aunt Flo is here (early) so I am beginning to see a bit of a pattern here. I feel back in control again. Not so head hungry or even physically hungry now.
Exercise is great. I really get a boost physically, emotionally and mentally when I work out. I am somewhat addicted to it now. I like that. I want to keep that going. I know that if I quit for a little break that I will struggle to get back to it. So no breaks, I am keeping it going. It's the only thing that will help me get the last 18 lbs off and hopefully many more inches before plastics this summer.
Supplements are better too. The calcium is hard on my system so I may need to get some fiber from somewhere. But I really like the citracal chews. It's like I get to eat a piece of fudge three times a day. Who wouldn't like that!?! Note to all pre-ops and newly post-ops - Take all of the recommended vitamins and supplements! After a year of not getting enough calcium my body is taking it from my bones. I thought I was going to be okay. My 3 & 6 months bloodwork showed I was okay but at 12 months there is a problem. We can not get enough from the food we eat! So be good and take those vits & supplements!
Well, have a wonderful day everyone! I am really looking forward to seeing y'all on Saturday.
Hugs, Robin
Robin,
I get cold now TOO. Just remember, this time last year we had a thick FAT between our muscles and skin! Now less insulation makes us cold. It's a GOOD cold though hehehe. Just like you I get that awful head hunger pre-cycle for about 3 or 4 days and it is AWFUL! I want to eat all day long. Right before I start my band is really tight too so that helps, but the want to eat is still there which can cause problems for me. Wierd hormones! And I started early this month too! Well, can't wait for Saturday!!! See you all there
Robin ,
Busy busy busy here! Trying to help out short handed staff (and making a bigger mess of things ) and I think they would rather be short handed than have my help ... Doing interviews for a new admin asst person too .. so that is taking up chunks of my day. We had two this morning, one tomorrow and one each Monday & Tuesday next week. We have good candidates, so the choice may be tough. And also trying to do 'my' job too!!! Ok, off to grab lunch and get back to it.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.
Hugs, Mo
1 week from today is my surgery. I can't believe it is almost here. Time has just flew by. My last day of work is tomorrow so that is exciting, lol!!! I'm getting kind of nervous but for the most part Im pretty clam. Trying to think about what to pack for the hospital, Im supposed to be in there for 3 days so I don't want to go crazy but I want to have enough. My liquid diet is doing well, it's hard but it gets easier each day. Dreading the "cleansing" next week but not thinking about that either. This weekend I plan to get out and enjoy the weather as much as possible.
Hi Robin
I was out an about this morning and it was very chilly. Lastnight i was in my warm pj/s and frezing my butt off and my husband was walking around sweating. I cracked te whip on him lastnight and put him on Kelly's bootcamp diet. No more slip ups. He did good and stopped drinking reg soda and is drinking diet and sometimes Crystal light lemonade and now that spring is coming he loves to drink lemonade and He doesnt eat breakfast and barely eats lunch so when he comes home he snacks and snackes then in an hour I am making dinner and it's just to much. I gave up alot for this surgery which I am so thankful for and he is going to give up some stuff now. My goal is to get him off his blood pressure meds. But it was a great day. Fashion Bug had a sale on shorts. They were 30 % off today so I went and got a few pairs. They didnt have my size in black ones so they told me if the warhouse had them they would ship them to me for free and they did. Well hope you have agreat day. I'm waiting for hubby to get home so we can take te dogs for a walk. He isnt into going to the gym yet so we are going to walk when he comes home. I get a double dose of excersising now. WOOOHOOOOO..
I had to laugh at your statement the he is going to give up some stuff now. I feel the same way. My hubby is okay for the most part. If its in the house he will eat it, even if I am struggling to not eat it. And sometimes he offers me some!! However, if its not in the house he is pretty good at eating it out somewhere away from me so I just have to be strong about not buying stuff that I don't want around.
I keep trying to get my husband to exercise more. I guess after 24 years of doing PT (physical training) 3-4x a week he figures he has earned the right to do nothing now. I am going to keep bugging him though. I don't want him to gain weight. Hid dad has high blood pressure and diabetes. I am trying to keep him from going down that road.
Enjoy the walk.
Hi Robin,
I froze all day long and refused to go out. Now let me tell you this kind of weather was my favorite before surgery.
Glad to hear that today was not as busy as the day before. Glad you are doing great with the exercise. I am very proud of you. Keep doing an awesome job and you will definitely make your goal before you go for plastics.
I want to wish you all the best.
Hugs,
Cira
