Hi Cira, Wonderful news on the food and exercise. I need to start the treadmill myself. I am worried about starting food. I have had no problems with any liquids, hopefully food will be the same. Take care, Wanda

I am on the liquid diet for 10 days and have to be cleared by doc at first follow-up to move on to the next stage, blenderized foods. So, today is day 10 and the dr is tomorrow, so I am planning on soup for dinner tomorrow. Stage two is six half cup potions for the day. I am going to start out with only two ounces and see how that sits with the new tummy and gradually go up to the half cup. My worry is I feel full now and I still drink two ounces every 15 mins. How will I know I am full? I can't feel it. I was just going to eat the recommended amount, so I knew I was getting enough, but if I can't feel when full and over due it, I will get sick I suppose. I just wanted to avoid that. Oh well, it's a learning process. Trial and error. Others have gone before us and made it through and so will we. Take care, Wanda

Wanda, You are doing great you definitey have been drinking more than me. I couldn't tolerate to drink that much that often. I would get a full and nauseous feeling. I think you are going to do just fine when it is time to puree your foods. Trust me you will get a feeling like if you take another bite you might just get sick. That is when I say ut oh that's enough. Yes this road is definitely a learning process and we are all going to do just fine. take care too Cira

Hi Aime, Thank you sweetie I am glad that I am feeling better but girl what a rough ut has been huh? I have gotten into a rut and was telling myself man I don't know if going through all this will make it worth while. But I know everythign will get better and I will be thinking different. I will try to make it saturday but I can not promise anything since now my new thing is waking up with bad headaches that turns into migraines. I hate crushing my meds so I have not been taking it for the headaches. I would love to see you and everyone else I hope I am feeling good. Hugs Cira

Hi Cira, I am glad you were able to "eat" some dinner. This is a rough stage but it is well worth it. You will continue to feel a little better each week. For me it wasn't daily but weekly. I noticed that each week I was a little stronger and felt healthier as each week progressed. I wish I had your resolve to blend the food. I ate soups mostly so I didn't get a lot of protein in. I also didn't do any protein drinks, couldn't stand them at first. You are doing so good. I wanted to reply about the calcium thing from the other day. Yes, we are all supposed to take calcium from the beginning. However, I didn't know about Citrical and so I couldn't find a calcium pill that I could swallow. I felt like they would get stuck in my throat, even when I cut them into 1/4 pieces. So instead of buying anything off the internet, I just didn't take calcium. I eat cottage cheese every day, yogurt nearly everyday and cheese everyday. But it wasn't enough. I am now trying to play catch up since I was "bad" and didn't take the supplement all this time. So take your calcium!! I shouldn't have played around. I am really pushing it now and I haven't missed a dose since the doc said to start taking it. Anyway, I am so proud of your progress. You are doing great. Keep it up! Hugs, Robin

Hi Robin, Thank you so much I think I feel the same way every week is actually a better week than the last. I was getting in a rut thinking that everyday does not get easier for me. When I blend my foods I make sure to leave some texture so it doesn't make me feel weird if you know what I mean. I did make another batch of chicken soup and blenderized it so I can have soup when I feel like having it. It goes down nicely and settles my tummy too. I make sure I make homemade chicken soup cause the buillions and swanson broth I am sick of it. I am so afraid to take my propanalonol (for migraines) because I definitely do not want to crush the meds and I am afraid to cut them in half and try swallowing them. They are the size of a #2 pencil eraser head. So I have been dealing with headaches everyday for the past 4 days. I wonder when can we try swallowing pills? I am going to call DVR tomorrow and ask. I did order the calcium in a liquid form at bariatricadvantage.com it is called Tropical Oasis Calcium magnesium and Vit D. So once it gets here I will take it like I do with the multivitamin centrum Yuck! lol I hope taking the calcium now helps you sweetie. I wish you all the best. Thank you for the wonderful support. Hugs, Cira
