That hanging thing!

Did anyone experience their "hanging tongue" feeling weird after having the tubes down your throat during surgery? mine feels longer...I think it's called the uvula? will it go back to normal?

No I have never experienced that. Maybe if you call your doctor to see what he or she says. I did have a sore throat and a fat lip from my tube. I hope you feel better soon. Cira

No I'm not sure about what you have mentioned?? However, I had a really sore throat too!! & My mouth was so dry, I wanted to ripp my tongue out!!! and run it under some running water!!! lol lol. But yeah, you should check with your Doctor about that?? Good Luck on that?? keep us posted and let us know when you do find out?? Peace. jbug. I kept falling to sleep with my mouth open? too!! Which really dried my mouth out as well?? but Mayby that's what happened to me too?? This feeling was beyond "cotten mouth" as some call it?? Dry, dry, dry, lips too.

Never had that feeling. It usually resulted in a sore throat for a few days.

My uvula never caused me any problems. I don't think I ever got a sore throat. I did have dry mouth, but that would be expected from having nothing to eat or drink for a few days. I'm sure it will return to normal. Aime

No Tina I can not say I had that. But it is probably from the tubes. My throat was sore for a couple days. Hope it gets better

Hey Tina - I had to laugh - when I read the title of your post, I was thinking about my hanging stomach!!! Sounds like it could just be irritation from the tube, like everyone else said. Maybe the cold from s/f popsicles will help numb it temporarily. Hope everything's going well otherwise! Tia
