Dr Schweitzer - Johns Hopkins Bayview

Carol, Dr. Schweitzer is the best in the field as far as I'm concerned. I had my surgery May 2, 2006 and have lost 180 pounds so far. I really didn't have any unusual complications, and anything that I thought was a complication was always addressed by Dr. Schweitzer immediately. In fact, with one issue, I was emailing back and forth with him at 11pm on a Saturday night! He and his staff (as well as the Bayview support staff) are the greatest, and there is always someone to address your issues. And, yes, get on the list for a private room! That is my only regret! Hi Carol, I had the best of the best. Dr. S. is the BEST. My experience started with Bayview and calling everyday to help insure a private room. It worked and not only did I get a private room but I got a suite. Yes, a suite, with my own waiting room, built in furniture, refrigerator, and sleep sofa for guest. Linda I can testify to the ambiance. One of Dr. S's residents noticed something askew on my CAT Scan. He showed it to Dr. S *****commended an MRI. Four weeks ago I had a benign five pound mass removed from my right thigh. It was so huge that it went from just above my knee to my groin area. Thanks to Dr. Schweitzer and his team.
