Good morning all I'm recovering today from my day yesterday. I got up and went to the gym at the usual time to do my Tuesday strength training, then met my boss at the Park 'n Ride in Annapolis at 7 a.m. to go to the New Carrollton Metro. We spent the better part of the day at a technology show at the DC Convention Center. Even as well as I get around these days, my knees were VERY grateful to get home last night and are still reminding me today that they were 'abused' yesterday with being on my feet all day. I did 30 minutes on a cross country course on the bike this morning at the gym. I started out to do 30 minutes of rowing, and after about 2 minutes I decided today was NOT going to be a rowing day, so I forced myself to stick it out for 5 minutes before I switched over to the bike. I have a conference in Columbia tomorrow and I am taking a personal day on Friday to go to Salisbury for my 3 year check up, so I'll be busy today catching up and getting ahead on things. So far the only thing on my calendar is a conference call at 2, let's hope it stays that way! Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Mo

Morning Mo! Well, Afternoon now. I have been reading but not posting much because I have been busy here at work. It's all good though. I enjoy what I do so when I am busy I feel as if I am earning my pay. It also feels good to get things accomplished. Sounds like you are on the go-go-go. I don't blame you for skipping the row machine today. That is not an easy machine! I am going to miss the gym today because I had to come in late. Took Stephanie to the doctor for her eye. We weren't sure if she had pink eye. She doesn't so that's good. So I am going to have to use my bike tonight when I get home. That's good too so I am glad that I have the option to work out at home when needed. Wow, your three year check up is Friday. Does it feel like it's been three years? You are still quite busy on the boards and with the support groups. Do you feel that keeping active with the support has helped you to maintain your weight loss? After three years, do you still think a lot about the pouch rules such as protein first, no sugar, no drinking after eating for 30 min, chewing well, etc.? Do you see yourself as a WLS patient all the time or do you feel "normal" (if there is such a thing)? I mean, I feel like my eating is pretty normal but I do think about the "rules" all the time and try to live by them, almost daily. How do you feel? I hope that your doctor is pleased with your progress and success! I know that seeing you now, after three years, sure makes me feel like I can do this and be a success for life. My friend Denise hits her three year mark in August. She is still very watchful of her portions and food choices. She said she will always be mindful of that because she knows if she isn't she is in danger of putting the weight back on. Same with her exercise. I know that this is for life. I hope that I will always think about the rules and that exercise will always be a huge part of my life, part of who I am now. Well, have a great day! Hugs, Robin
