Hi all, I thought I posted this yesterday, but I don't see it in the list. Oh well. Doing OK. Could not tolerate water at first so they kept me an extra day. Came home on Saturday. Trying not to worry about the little things. Keeping an eye on any big symptoms. One question: I could not take the taste of the calcium citrate lozenges that I liked before surgery. At my nutritionalists suggestion, I have switched to Citrical Chewy bites. The problem is that they are so sweet I can barely stand it. Anyone have any other Cal Cit suppliements they can recommend? Glad to see that Cira is doing better. I was really out of the loop with her (for obvious reasons). Wow....what a ride. I will keep saying little prayers for her. Time for a walk.... Dave

Welcome home Dave!!! Glad you had an uneventful surgery and your recovery is going well! Sorry, don't have to take the calcium citrate lozenges...I do two Tums w/ Calcium every day and that works for me. I get the ****o and cream ones and they are pretty good! Not sure if that is the same thing or if that helps. Take care, keep walking and water, water, water!!!!! ~Heather

Welcome home, Dave! I have always taken the pills, even the horse pills. So far, so good. It's really wierd how things seem so much sweeter in taste now. I'm two years out, and some sweets still affect me this way. Good luck and keep us posted. TraciL

Hi Dave, Welcome home!!!! No help on the calcium, Dr S told me to chew tums w/ calcium and I've been doing that for the last almost 3 years. Keep walking and sipping! Hugs, Mo

Hi Dave and welcome home. Glad to see you back. I spoke with Cira this evening and she was asking if you were home yet. When I speak to her again tommorow I will let her know. She is doing ok but she is feeling a little down. She just wants to be back to normal. Well take care and walk walk walk.

Yeah!!! Glad you are home and on the losing side. I do well with Citrical Chewables for my calcium. I can smell sweet now. It almost makes me sick. Aime

Dave, I didn't have to start the calcium until a week after surgery -- maybe give it a few days and then start back. I have the Calcium Citrate w/Vitamin D Wafer. Maybe wait a few days and try again. Yep get that walking in. Unfortunately when I had my surgery right after I got home -- it snowed and it was freezing cold so I'd just walk in circles in the apartment. Every once in a while I'd venture outside and walk up and down the sidewalk. Glad you're home and feeling better.
