Underlining complication for those who had Gastric Bypass

Hi Ladies, A friend of mine was watching the Sunday Morning news and perked up when he heard something in regards to those people having Gastric Bypass appears to be having some underlying complication or something. He didn't catch the beginning of it, so did not get a chance on what the illness/complication was. So I was wondering if any of you heard? Kathy

Hi Kathy, I didn't see it but if it was on one of the networks you might try looking at their website to see if the story is there. There are always going to be 'horror' stories about complications, etc. The way I look at my WLS, I may not live any longer but it will enable me to live a better quality of life. Actually it will allow me to LIVE life rather than let it pass me by! The key is to follow your doctor's instructions and be aware of potential health issues related to malnutrition, etc. Hugs, Mo
