Dear Cira, Glad to hear you are feeling somewhat better. You are the first person in this group that I have "went through the surgery with", so to speak. I have to admit that I got a few butterflies in my stomach when I heard about your treatment from the hospital staff...especially since I will be having mine in the same hospital with the same doctor. I will be happy to hear that you have no regrets and that you are feeling great. Take care...Gail

Hi Cira, That drain tube was a real pain for me too. It really aggrivated my pancreas, which in turn caused me to become dehydrated since I could drink much because I hurt so much. I couldn't lie down to sleep for about 4 days after getting that thing out. I slept in my recliner and was so uncomfortable. It's okay for a few hours but not all night and day too. I am glad you got the tube out. You should begin to see some improvement soon. I had a real lack of energy for the first 2-3 months. That improves too. I don't know about being cold since I am always cold and was so before surgery. Now it's even worse since losing all this weight. Walking every bit that you can stand helps with the gas pains. Hang in there!!! It really does get better. We are here if you need us! Hugs, Robin

I am glad it wasn't just me that hated having it, and hated having it pulled out just a tad bit more! It hurt and I came up off the bed with my hands ready to go around the poor doctors neck! LOL Glad you are on the upswing! Now that it's gone the pain will become less and less of an issue every day, with every step!!!

Cira, Praise God you are home and doing well. Sorry to hear you've had a time with the pain and with the tube. Once they removed the tube from me the cramps stopped --the cramps where the worst. Nicole removed mine and I didn't feel any pain -- THANK GOD! The liquid tylenol will handle the pain for you. Holler when you get a chance.
