Port Moving up Stomach

I don't post much...but, I need an answer. I had my lap band surgery on January 4, 2007, doing great. I went in for my first fill and afterward my port starting moving up my stomach...I am so afraid and I am just wondering am I the only person that this has happen to. PLEASE HELP!

I'm sorry this is happening to you and I wish I could help but I had RNY. Have you posted on the LB forum or called your surgeon? There are other banders on here and give it a little time, I'm sure someone will post about it. Heather Modispaw is a bander but I don't recall her ever mentioning her band moving. What do you mean it is moving up your stomach??? All by itself? This is something you should talk to your doc about. I was banded 9/14/06 and my port is slowly moving in reference to my port scar, but that is because my stomach is shrinking and the scar is moving down.

I did not realize it had moved until I was showing my husband and it wasn't there. It is moving upward towards my ribs...I am scheduled to go into the office of Tuesday, March 13. I spoke with the nurse and she stated that the dr may have to go back in. I am hoping this is not the case. It all started after the first fill.

Come back and let us know what the doctor said. I haven't had my lap band put in yet, and I would be interested in knowing what the doctor said. I will keep you in my prayers though. Jennifer
