Hey Hons It's my 1 year surgiversary
Hey Every body.
Yesterday made exactly 1 year since having my surgery . I haven't been on the board in a minute because as you all know, this forum can be quite addictive. I was spending to much time on here. When my job blocked out my access, I think I went through withdrawels .
I was light headed for the first 3 months post-op. But now, I have lost a total of 95 lbs. I'm in a size 14. So at 5'9, I look good, if I say so myself. I have stuck to weighing myself 1 time per month. My back and my knees feel great. I feel like I did 20 years ago . My blood work is good, too. I just need to up my iron. I'm glad I made the decision to have surgery. It was the best way for me.
For any one considering surgery as a weight loss option. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH, TALK TO PROFESSIONALS. The surgery can address some physical health problems, but if your having mental and psychological issues, the surgery may not address it. So if you need to, see a therapist after surgery as well. Sometimes we don't seek psychological help when we need to.
Peace and Blessings,
Nadine O.
Hey Nadine congratulations on your sucess. Cant wait to be in a size 14. Have some ways to go but I am much better then I was 7 months ago when I had my surgery. I wish you the best of luck on your journey and I agree with you this site is addictive but that is a god thing when you need a shoulder to lean on. Best wishes to you
