APPLES ARE NOT CHOCOLATE!!!
Asher is also sold at the Dutch Market in Burtonsville off Routes 32 & 198. We found that out months ago. I'm missing the pretzel dogs with the hot mustard. I wanted something spicy (it's the cajun in me) so I put some black pepper in my cream of potato soup and I purchased some Pepper Jack cheese and its taken me 2 maybe 3 days to eat one slice. I've licked peanut butter as if eating a popsicle and that's only because I wanted something salty and that worked. I'm playing it pretty close to the diet plan -- but with those two little deviations I'm trying to be good. Haven't had the desire for chocolate; but more of a desire for spicy foods and every once in a while I think about the illusive hamburger and a salad.
Robin,
I hear you. I have no plans to reintroduce those chocolate favorites of mine any time soon. I've waited too long for this and am going to loose this second person that has been tagging along with me for the past couple of decades. I really don't want chocolates or sweets -- I want a fuddrucker's or five guys hamburger -- but if I go to fuddruckers I get to eat some of that tomato w/celantro mix (I love that) but it will be quite a few months before I even attempt to have a burger -- with no bread. I'm not going to ru**** Knowing I can use seasonings in my food, i.e. salt/pepper is good enough for me.
Its funny just to think I wasn't addicted to food that I just love food and love to eat it -- however, it loved me too much -- it hangs around and around
I did get my workout in this morning. 10 minutes on the stationary bike = 3 miles and a little weight lifting for the arms and leg extensions for the legs. I've decided instead of coming back to the apartment when I drop off my partner at work is just stop at the fitness center on the complex -- exercise and then come home. It works better that way.
You don't say!
Too bad I figured this out months ago. I actually give into my cravings way too much. I don't eat the sugar free stuff anymore either. It actually upsets my tummy. I think the sugar alcohols are just too high. I like to pop in a couple of chocolate discs from the Bakers melting chocolate container, in milk chocolate of course. That seems to help and I can get two pieces and most of the time I am done. I have had the diet hot chocolate as well (less sugar than the no sugar added stuff, tastes the same) and that helps too.
S/F peeps? I need to get some of those.
Hugs, Robin
Wow! I know your feeling! As for myself, I can't stand the SF chocolates that are available, and my chocolate proteing drinks just don't do the trick. So, we keep a bag of Hershey Kisses laying around, and you'd be surprised how one (maybe two) kisses will take care of that craving. Pre-op, I would have eaten the whole bag. Post-op, I'm good with two.
