Plastics Update
Hi All,
Some of you may know that I've been hoping to have plastic surgery in May. My surgeon's office submitted a precertification package to my insurance company and I've been waiting to hear. I was just notified today that my insurance company has approved the panniculectomy part of my plastic surgery (yeah!). I'm going to appeal their denial of the work on my thighs. It's not just a cosmetic thing, I have had some "concerns". I have a date of May 23rd...gosh, that'll be here before I know it, yikes! I'm kind of more scared of this surgery than WLS, not sure why. I think the recovery is going to be harder this time around.
Okay, you may now go back to your regular scheduled program...hehe
Have a Great Day!
Terry
Woooohooooo !!!!
May 23rd will be an exciting day! I am waiting for a '3rd' event for that day. I just a bit ago was invited to an event on May 23rd when we are in NC at the races.
I think it's great that your insurance will cover. IF (and that is a BIG if) I ever get to the point where I am ready for PS I hope that insurance will cover. Of course, I have switched from my insurance to Mr Mo's, so who knows what will happen. I think I'm a wuss about the whole idea of more surgery though so it might be a moot point.
Hugs, Mo
Your so brave! Congrats on getting a date. Now you can get mentally and physically prepared. They say to majorly up the protein level to help with healing after surgery. Also, now might be the time to step it up at the gym. You'll do great. Take the drugs they give and relax. Your body will heal faster.

Hi Terry,
Such good news about the "panny" surgery! I hope you get the approval for your thighs. How could it not be crucial? They don't get it, I think.
You are brave, my dear. I can undertsand why it would be scarey. It's a whole different ballgame with this kind of surgery.
I will be thinking good thoughts for you on that day.
