thank you all for your advice. i am doing so so but i will try just about anything to quit. i don't know weather the dr. will put me on wellbutrin because i already am taking 200 mg of zoloft a day. but i will ask her when i go back to her or maybe she will give me the perscription that terry suggested. i just need to keep reminding myself that if i want the surgery i have to quit and if i want to get more healthier also. well i hope everyone had a good time today at the luncheon. take care and pray for good weather. tammy

Hey girl I have read on the main board some of the ladies on wellbutrin and some other anti depression meds. Yes I think you shoukd ask your pcp and hopefully she can give you somethig to help you quit. The sooner the better sweetie. I hope tomorrow is not so bad... Hugs, Cira

Tammy, In the past my sister hadn't been able to quit for more than 6-8 hours (12 hours at the most). She turned into a raging you know what (her words, not mine). With this Chantix, it has been really easy for her. I do believe a big part of her success this time is that she really wanted to quit. She said she felt like she had been a prisoner of the nicotine for too long. She's tried it all - nicotine gum, patches, etc. Ask your Dr. about the Chantix. Take Care, Terry

I have been using Chantrix. It does take away so many of the anxious feelings. Just make sure you don't take it on an empty stomach. Aime
