Surgery was a success

Hello Kelly Thank you so much and I will be walking, walking, walking. I decide at 2:30 AM that I'd brave the elements in the morning and at least walk up to the corner and back a few times during the day. This will help to start build my strenght and endurance and hopefully my concentration. I'm in graduate school and these are the last 3 weeks of school and I need to get my head back in the game.

Yup!! DVR is a fantastic surgeon. I too had very little pain aftr I left GBMC. I still have nearly a full bottle of the pain medication. Do you need anything? I'm in Owings Mills often. I teach driver's ed classes there and my eldest son works at the Safeway and lives right behind there. I can stop by if you need anything. Welcome to the Loser's Bench. Aime

Aime, Thanks for the offer -- I'm good. I have everything I need for right now. I've made a trip to the Giant to play the lottery tickets for my partner. I used that time to get some walking in. I'll go out again later this afternoon and drive up and play the evening numbers and walk around the store again. I've only taken the pain medication twice -- mostly to help me get to sleep. I was so sleepy last night and couldn't go to sleep. I got up about 2 Am and had some soup and then went back to bed. I got up about 9 this morning and walked from our building to the end of the street and back again. I'm going to go lay down for a bit and start all over in about an hour or so.

TraciL, Thanks. I'm just thankful that I had the insurance to have the surgery done. I'd been working part-time a lot until 2/2005 and had I been employed full-time my partner and I would have had the surgery at the same time. So I'm just thankful that God provided.
