Good morning from Connecticut
Hi Gang !!!
I'm here in CT ... sniffling and sneezin' away. My nose/head have a mind of their own. I am hoping once I take a dayquil tab I'll dry up a bit, but I'm postponing that until we are ready to leave. Heck . I might take a nyquil tab and sleep all the way home.
The surprise party on Sat night was a big hit! We totally got my brother in law. He knew that the CT siblings were taking him out to dinner but he had no idea it was a party!!! We had between 40 and 50 (adults and children combined) of course with 7 siblings, spouses and offspring . that's a big crowd in itself.
Yesterday we all got together at my sister in law's house and while mr mo and I are the only NASCAR fans the rest of them deferred to us and we actually watched the race from beginning to end (tho Tim did have the TIVO thingy in his hand and kept messign with it .. backing up and going forward).
Wanted to meet my g/f for breakfast this a.m. before we head back, but begged off. Not sure what time we will really be moving here and she would have to drive 2 hours from Massachusetts ... and I'd rather do that on a Saturday when we can spend the afternoon together and Mr Mo's not chompin a the bit to leave!!!
Have a wonderful day .. for those of you off on President's day .. enjoy the day off .. for those who have to work .. I'm sorry
Hugs, Mo
Aime
We are home .. took the 'scenic' route which was entertaining .. once I got used to it .. of course I had sort of planned on being home in time to see MOST of today's General Hospital, but it was not to happen ..
I'm still sniffling .. have plans to go to the gym in the morning because it's been a whole week, but we will see how I feel at 4:30 a.m. when the clock goes off.
Hugs, Mo
Good Morning Mo
Glad you had a good weekend. Sorry you still have the sniffles. I thought I was starting to get them when me and hubby went to Walmart yesterday morning the sniffles started but then by the time I was home they were gone so i am keeping my fingers crossed and oping you get rid of tem quick. Glad the party was great. i had one for my mom about 2 years ago and it was like planning a wedding all over and I was by myself planning. My brother has no planning or decision making traits...lol. But it was great. Drive safely and see you on Saturday.
Kelly
Morning Mo,
Hope you are feeling better soon. No fun to be sick...especially when you have a long trip ahead.
Glad to hear the party went well and that you were able to find a TV for the race. Wow...what a race. Too bad Martin came up short...but hey...I like Harvick just as well.
Take care, drive safe, and enjoy the day off!

I was disappointed for Mark. I really thought he was going to get it. I think he's a great guy and even when he was driving for Roush I made an exception for him and liked him in spite of his owner. I would have loved to have seen him win yesterday .. a double whammy .. one to show Jack Roush and the other a slam at Joe Nemechek (who I am not fond of .. ) that all the years Joe drove the Army car he couldn't get it done!
We stopped at the outlets in Queenstown on the way back down and I used the last of my VF outlet gift cards to buy my first Tony sweatshirt. I don't look good in orange, but this is black with orange lettering so it's pretty sharp lookin' .
We had breakfast at our 'regular' diner in CT before we got on the road this a.m. and of course I had on my Bud jacket and a man hollered across the parking lot .. how about that race yesterday ??? and then of course, we stopped at our favorite hangout when we got back late this afternoon and when I sat at the bar, the guy next to me said ... well, Junior had a bad day yesterday .. oh .. Ya think ???
Hoping some nyquil tabs will do wonders for my sniffles tonight
Hugs, Mo
Hi Terry
I am sooo happy to be home .. I can sniffle at home so much better than when we are on the road .. and I'm happy to be home with food I can control .. this was a horrid weekend for my pouch and there was a lot of 'rejection'.
We stopped at our regular hangout on the way in and I got a bowl of chili and it was so nice to eat something that my pouch didn't decide it didn't like. I like your idea of protein drink. I might go mix up one before I go to bed. I think I was definitely light on protein this weekend.
Hugs, Mo
