Any One have the surgery and regets it?? Or have it and love it??
I had RNY in July of 2005. I am down 132lbs and off all meds. I used to be miserable (prior to WLS), now I am loving my new life and re-discovering the "me" that I hid behind fat. I have had zero complications and find life as a post-op is great! I would do this again in a heartbeat!

Hi Natalie
I had RNY Open on in July 2006 and I am down over 130 and have not had any problems. Only got sick from food a few times but that was just from eating to fast and once I ate a cookie which didnt agree with me. But thats how we learn. I would do it over in a heartbeat again. Are you thinking of having it or already have it?

Hi Natalie,
I had Open RNY on October 3, 2006, I am down 76 pounds and this was the best decision of my life. I have had zero complications and would do it again in a heartbeat! I am getting my life back, I have more energy than I know what to do with, I feel good, I feel healthier than I have in years. Before surgery I felt like I was 80 years old and carried myself that way. Not any more!!! I want to drop at least another 60 pounds and see how I am from there. No regrets!!!!

Hi Natalie.
Congrats on approval for your lapband surgery.
I had lap RNY on 3/15/06. I've lost 102 lbs so far (25 to goal) and I am so happy I had this surgery. My self esteem has improved, my health has improved, my energy has improved. I am active, exercise regularly. I can go anywhere and do anything without having to stop and rest my feet. I don't run out of breath just going upstairs to my bedroom. I don't have aching feet at the end of the day or the end of a shopping trip. I LOVE shopping for clothes. I just in general feel so much better. I am so thankful for this surgery.
Hugs, Robin
I had open RNY on October 13th, 2006, I am down 85 lbs and discovering differences every day. I have more energy, don't huff and puff with every step, have lots more weight to go before I hit my goal but see no reason why this won't happen. I would do this again in a minute. I have had absolutely no complications or problems, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
