Wow, Something New For Me

Hi All, I apologize, I know I've been kinda scattershot with posting lately. Work has been so busy that I've not had time to really read the boards from here. I've also been busy after hours too. For those who were at the tea and sat at my table, I mentioned that I had a date the next night. This is a man that I met through match.com. We have been exchanging emails (and then pretty much daily phone calls) for the past six weeks or so. We went out that Monday night and had a great time. He's a great talker/listener and we have alot in common. He's a really nice guy. I like him (alot). We went out again last Friday and then again this past Tuesday. We have a date for tomorrow night too. He asked me last week for the honor of my company on Valentine's Day. This is a first..something new for me - to have an actual date on Valentine's Day! I'm trying really hard not to just jump in...I'm trying to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground (for now). He told me yesterday he was cancelling his match.com membership because he doesn't want any distractions to get in the way of us. Things definitely are looking up in the romance department....woohoo! Congratulations!! I just wanted to say that I met my husband 8 years ago online and have will be married 7 yrs on Valentine's Day and I am the happiest I have been in my life!! Hugs Stephanie

Hi Terry! That's awesome! I am so happy for you and to have a date on Valentine's Day is so nice. I know it's hard to keep your feet planted on the ground (I have a hard time doing that!) but I'm sure you are enjoying the heck out of this and you deserve it!!!!! Terry, I am so happy that everything worked out with your date. I have been thinking about you and I just dying to know how it went. I am so glad that you have seen him a few more times. WTG Terry!! I should have read this post before responding to Cira's. When I saw what she wrote I wondered how in the world did I miss the news. This sounds so exciting! I new romance. Take it slow and easy and enjoy it every step of the way. Let him romance you - you deserve it. So, what's the plan for the V-day date? Can't wait to hear how it goes. Good for you! Just take it slow, enjoy the process....and see where it will go. Your WLS buds are pulling for you. My long-time Valentine (aka my husband) is out of town this V day....but that's ok. We'll celebrate when he comes home on Sunday! Marilyn
