snow or no snow ...
Mo you are so awesome!! I love the snow so I don't mind it a bit. I just wish I could get out and play in the snow today. But I have to be at work! The girls are home and loving that they can sleep in. I hope they will get out and play in the snow for me.
I went to curves last night and they did an advanced workout test on me. They basically see how many reps you can do on the machines and then recommend how to bump it up. Well, all this time I have been using curves for cardio workouts since my doc said that he feels that the strength training machines are not what I need. He would rather I use free weights or weight machines at a gym since he recommends slower reps. Curves last night said that I just need to focus on the machines right now and not do so much cardio in between on the recovery stations. So I have to rethink what I am going to do. I like curves because it feels different and can be fun. But I just don't know if that strength training workout is what I need. Most of the machines at curves do work my muscles but not at all like the weights do. I can do 2 or 3 sets of 12 reps for each of my weight routines at the gym. Curves said that their workout is not for cardio but for strength training. I'll probably continue to go and try to focus on the machines, at least until my membership is up. Then I'll probably just use the gym the way my doc wants me to.
I am going to the gym today for cardio and abs! I really need to work on improving that area. Shoot, I need to work on all of my areas. LOL
Have a great day. BTW, I am glad that you are safe and didn't have an accident!
Hugs, Robin
Dr S had things to say about Curves (not good things either) ...he's an exercise/fitness/body fat 'freak' and believes in 'real' gyms, etc .. but I was going to join Curves anyway, until I read an article about the man who created the Curves franchise and realized that I had fundamental moral/philosophical differences with him so I used that as an excuse not to join Curves. I think Curves is a good choice for a lot of people but not everyone. It's not a one size fits all.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Mo
