I Need to speak with somone regarding MD's law

Hey everyone! Long time no post... I wanted to know if there was anyone out there familiar with the MD statute regarding wls? I have it and have read it, but I wanted to talk to someone about how it relates to my insurance... Thanks everyone!

Hi Cindy, I don't much about it. Someone posted the md's law to me like 2 months ago and it was in another post so I can't remember for the life of me where it is located so I can read it again. But I know that if you are morbidly Obese and more and have co morbidities then you are entitle wls. But girl I am not sure. Please don't quote me on this. Hi Cindy, I think one of the most knowledgeable people about the Maryland state mandate is Leesa. Hopefully, she will see your post and respond. I don't believe the law addresses the bells/whistles/hooops you have to jump through to be approved, but does cover the fact that it is covered with exclusion for small groups (less than 50 employees) and self-insured plans. Even though you work in Maryland your employer may have insurance based in another state and the mandate does not apply.
