Going back to bed ...
HAPPY GROUNDHOG DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT?!!! WHAT?!!! Can't hear you, Mo!!!! (At least that's how I always felt the morning after a concert!!!) Glad you had a great time! I trust you and Mr. Mo and friends behaved yourselves?
BTW, I somehow managed to log on, so I'm posting from Annapolis!!! Yay, Tia!
Hopefully, I'll be out of here by 1 or so, then I'm heading home - NOT to Pikesville!
We have KB tomorrow - imagine that, so we're going to the library and probably bowling. I've got lots of transcription to do, so as much as I might want to sit around and veg with Mom, ain't gonna happen. Speaking of Mom, she made the most awesome crab soup - Hanover (the veggie people) make a frozen crab soup mix, complete with veggies and seasoning - all you do is add crab meat and spice it up to taste. So she made a GINORMOUS batch yesterday, with two pounds of backfin - YUM-O!! Although I can't hardly eat bread anymore, I did have a small piece with my soup - what a nice winter dinner!
So next week is Cira's surgery on the 6th and Traci's bday on the 7th. Looks like a fun week for all!!! Oh, yeah, let's not forget Cira's pre-op prep on the 5th - bwahahaha!
Okay, hope everyone has a great weekend!!
Smoochies,
Tia
Thanks, Kel!
Yep, me, too, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE crabmeat, shrimp, and all their other friends. Even oysters - but only fried!! Last week, Mom, K & I went to Lexington Market and had fried steakfish, fried oysters, fried shrimp and a crabcake from Faidley's - OMG! Fried heaven! Of course, because of the batter, I wasn't able to eat a bunch, which was fine, but it all was soooooo good!
Wow, all these Feb bdays - parents were busy in the summer, weren't they??? So we get to spank Robin, too? Great!
I'm excited about March, too - I'm turning 40 and my brother is turning 34 and we're celebrating by taking KB to NYC on 2/18 - although they think we're going to OC. I can't wait to see their faces - K's been, but B never has, and he wants to go to the Toys R Us in Times Square so badly he can taste it!!! Of course, it all hinges on the weather. My brother wanted to take me to Ruth's Chris to celebrate our bdays, but I told him I'd rather he spend the money in NYC - he can buy a piece of cheesecake so I can have 3 bites!
Have a fabu weekend!
Tia
Wow a new York trip. I have only been to new york once and I was 12 and went with my brother and my dad. But my dad was there for buisness and we were stuck in the hotel for the two days we were there. My stepfather had just passed away and my mom sent us with my father so it was unexpected trip so he couldnt plan anything fun for us to do. I always say I want to go when the have the christmas tree in Rockfeller center or in spring to just shop. Maybe that will be my birthday present to my self next year. My husband isnt a city guy and wouldnt feel comfortable there so maybe I will make it a girls weekend. Well have fun and see you on the 24th.
Kell
Hey Kell -
OMG!! I LOVE NYC!!! We go on a bus trip every year at Christmas time - I promised Terry that I'd send her the info when I got it, so I can add you to my list, if you'd like. It fills up very quickly, though, so once I send it, you gotta send in your deposit!!
Actually, I thought about suggesting a one day trip to NYC for us losers, probably in the spring. Hmmm, may have to give that some more thought!
I'll let you know.
Tia
Hey girl -
It's soup weather, that's for sure. Which is not to be confused with naked mailman weather!!!
I LOVE Olive Garden's Pasta-whatdidjacallit! I made a huge pot of soup last weekend - beef broth with onions and garlic, tomatoes, cabbage, green beans, carrots and browned ground beef. Don't really know what I'd call it, but it was good - and loaded with protein thanks to the beef and then the additional cheese I put on each serving.
Destressing not really in the pic this weekend, but a stressful day at home is better than one at work!!
How's McMom?
Any plans for tonight? Do tell!!
Tia
mmm, that soup sounds yummy! McMom is doing good (other than an unrelated back pain). No leakage! She was dancing around last night, I thought she was gonna take the bandage and swing it around over her head...haha.
Yep, I do have plans for tonight. Meeting him at Ruby Tuesdays for dinner and then we're going to a movie. AND he's already asked me to go out on Valentine's Day (that'll be a first for me!)...woohoo!
Now if I could only win mega millions, I'd be independently wealthy and I wouldn't be chained to this desk/job everyday and I could pursue other things I want to enjoy! lol...with my luck I'd win and then have a heart attack! hehe
Well, under the cir****tances I hope you have a weekend that is as least stressful as it can be It will get better!
T
OOOH! A VD date - I've had them before, but I'm still insanely jealous (but extremely happy for you!!)
Yes, if only we could win Mega Millions, life would be good!!
All things considered, I WILL have a good weekend - at least I get to be with my 2 fave people!
Oops, gotta run - he's out of the meeting!! Have fun tonight! Be sure to buckle your condom, uh, sorry - SEATBELT!!
T.
