Timbuktu
Thanks everyone for the quick responses and understanding about needing a head count so early. Everyone is invited to come and if we have to I'll just ask Heather Modispaw to make a second reservation for a second table. So far the "yeses" are as follows:
Mo, Terry M., Heather Modispaw, Traci L., Aime, Kelly Wheeler, Linda Ingram, Pat Spangler, Tia and her Mom, Robin Dixon and Dad, and Robin Saxton.
Robin D. I don't see any reason Dad can't come join the fun besides there won't be a boa in sight!!! LOL If I don't get any more adds I'm sure they can accomodate for one more without it being an issue. I'll leave it to you.
Anyone else please let me know by Friday afternoon and I'll call that evening to make the reservation. Looks like a good time to come!!!
Thanks again!!!
~Heather
Hello everyone...
I'm Kay, the Support Leader in Southern Maryland (Tri-County WLS Group in Waldorf).. and I just saw this Leader Board for Maryland. Here y'all are talking about getting together... so is it for everyone? or just certain people? Actually, I would love to see other Leaders in this area... and it would help me find support. I'm so busy supporting others... that sometimes I need support. Don't mean to intrude if this is a private thing... but just curious if this gathering is for everyone in Maryland or not.
Thanks, Kay
Hi Kay,
We as a group try to get together socially every 4 to 6 weeks or so. This past Sunday we had a tea party at the Retro Tea Room in Bowie, and we are going to Timbuktu in Hanover for lunch on the 24th.
Our 'gatherings' are absolutely open to all, pre-op, post op, just thinking about it, we even bring family members and friends.
While we talk about WLS the primary purpose for these informal gatherings is social.
Please feel free to join us any time.
Hugs, Mo
