Another Tea Party post ..
I'll be out of touch today, so I thought I would put an early post about about Sunday. I KNOW I've been posting reminders every day, but I don't want anyone to miss or forget!!!!
Here's the plan ... we have a reservation at Retro Tea (www.retrotea.com) in Bowie .. the time is 2:30 ... our group will be in the upstairs party room .. The reservation is in my name (Maureen) .. just in case we don't all arrive at the same time.
We decided on a menu that will include traditional tea type things (scones/finger sandwiches) as well as the soup/salad/sandwich option. I explained that most of us are bariatric patients and have some food/eating issues and Jill is very willing to work with us on that (light options for spreads, open face sandiwiches, etc.). I think the soup option will lean toward the chili. I did tell her that chili would be a better option than chicken noodle soup.
I gave a head count of about 20 but the room will accommodate 28, so the more the merrier. So far these are the folks I can remember .. and I expect there may be some I have forgotten ..
Me (and my sister)
Terry M ( possibly with McMom depending on how she is feeling after her surgery today)
Tia ( did you say you were bringing somone ?)
Pat Spangler
Robin S
Robin D (with Dad? .. he's welcome)
Heather Mod

I am sure I have totally spaced and forgotten someone who has said they would be there
Traci is going to be away
Margie B's sister is visiting ( btw Margie, I liked Aime's idea .. bring your sister )
Cira's hubby is working so she can't make it
Laurie, I found your number (of all silly places it was IN my phone ) I'll try to give you a call later today or tomorrow in case you would like to ride to Bowie with me.
If I have forgotten anything, I'll catch up with y'all tonight when I get home.
Have a wonderful Friday! and see you Sunday!!!
Hugs, Mo
P.S. I forgot to ask, but I do believe that Kelly mentioned that they have the hats and boas, etc available for us to play dress up with too
Oh sweetie my problem is not having a sitter. I really don't know anyone here. I do think I might be able to make it tomorrow I just won't know until tomorrow morning.
My knee is a lot better thank goodness. I went to see the orthopedic doctor yesterday and he told me I have major cartilage damage fromtmy arthritis. I also sprained my knee. But he offered me a cortisone shot for the pain since I can not use the NSAIDS to bring down the imflammation. I was scared at first cause I know it hurts and I hate needles. Well what convinced me was that he said I would be feeling good for 2 to 3 months and I wanted to not have any pain in my leg after the surgery. I took it and I am about 75% better. It is still sore and it hurts if I move it a certain way. I use the knee brace to sleep and sometimes to walk around. I am so glad I took the shot. I think I will be feeling 100% by the 6th! yeah! I am excited.
Thanks for asking. Will you be at the Tea party?
I hope I can make it.
Hugs
Cira
Good that it is Sunday as Heather, Floyd and Kylie are meeting at the pool at 10 AM.
I am leaving now (8 am) for a land aerobic class in Studio 1 and then our water
aerobic one followed by aqua circuit. After three hours of movement will be ready for --->food. I am planning on bringing my lunch to eat poolside. Hopefully they will also bring some snack stuff.
Got to go and grab some protein before venturing off. Burr, is it cold outside? I am wearing shorts and a short sleeve tee.
See you Sunday for tea! ! ! My life still revolves around meals...But with more planning now and healthier choices.
