wish I could come, but my youngest has a basketball game that afternoon. How late do you think you all will be there? Maybe I can arrange to meet my Mom at the Barnes and Noble and she can watch the kids there for a bit while I run over to meet some fellow WLS folks. We'll see.... If not this time, next! marilyn

Hi Marilyn We are going to meet at 2:30. In the past when we have had a meal type gathering we have spent and hour and a half to two hours. The tea room is at the Antique Depot, so I am thinking that we may also spend some time browsing. I think the whole place closes at 5 p.m. We try to arrange social gatherings ( lunch/shopping/etc) every 4 to 6 weeks, and we move them around the area (usually in the general Baltimore area) , but easy to get to. We have done Arundel Mills, Valley View Farms, a crab place in Essex, Timonium Dinner Theater for a matinee at Christmas, and now tea in Bowie. AND the group is always open to ideas for fun things to do. Tia suggested I come up with something down this way for January/February and I cheated and had Kelly suggest a place, so all I needed to do was pick the date and make a phone call. Looking forward to meeting you! Keep on posting. Hugs, Mo If you can't make it to tea, I am

Good Morning Mo I will be there. I was looking for the menu online. Do you pick one that you want or is this a special one because we have a party going? Just wanted to know how much money to bring. Hope you are having a good week. See you Sunday. I am going to bring my camera also. Kelly

Hi Kelly, You may have missed it last week when I was soliciting ideas for the menu. What was 'decided' on and the gal at the tea room is working with us on is a combination of both the traditional tea items and the soup/salad/sandwich combo depending on likes and appetite. I'm thinking it's going to be probably about $20 by the time I tip, etc. I explained to Jill at Retro Tea that we are for the most part all bariatric patients and have had WLS. She was going to have 'light' options for spreads, open face sandwiches (if desired), etc. She called me earlier and I missed the call and then didn't get her when I called back. We are going to be in the new 'upstairs' party room so we should be all set. I'm planning on bringing my camera as well, though I haven't done anything yet with all the pictures I've taken at other events! See you Sunday. Hugs, Mo

Hi Robin So far no "men", but Dad D is always welcome if he would like to join us. The menu might be a tad 'sissy' for him though. Hugs, Mo

Now, I don't know about that, Robin's Dad seems like a man in touch with his feminine side!!!!!! He was a sweetie!!!! Besides, you KNOW we can't eat all that food, so he can have at least a finger sandwich or two from everyone!!!! Tia
