Friend needs help with doc in Baltimore

I have a friend who was almost about to have an RNY (in her former state) and then was transferred to Baltimore last year. She still wants the procedure but her PCP (who is a JH doctor) refuses to give her a referral. (which she found rather suprising considering procedures are done at Bayview) I Told her there's a cure for ignorance...Change docs.... Not sure what her insurance is though.... Does anyone here have a PCP affiliated with JH that is very supportive of the surgery that you would recommend? She lives north of the city near White Marsh BTW but works in the city near inner harbor. Thanks so much in advance....

Okay, I'm a DORK! I just realized you said PCP!!! hehehe It's late, please forgive me! My PCP, endocrinologist, and gyn all wrote letters in support for my surgery. The endo and gyn are affiliated with GBMC. I cannot think of where my PCP is affiliated. It is either Bayview or Franklin Square or BOTH. Her office is in Dundalk and she is also in the Parkville office once a week, so I think it is both. Her name is Dr. Deborah Gallo. She is 36 and reminds me of a hippie (long stringy hair, sandals, and prairie dresses) but she is a GREAT doctor! VERY friendly and supportive. Her practice is True Care Medical. The Dundalk office is across from Squires restaurant. btw, I live in Rosedale very close to White Marsh.
