Good Morning Arlene
Hang in there, I know that anxious feeling well! LOL I fretted from my first seminar meeting until I saw the surgeon and then afterwards once submitted to the insurance company fearing I would be denied first attempt. It actually was much easier than I thought. My doctors and my surgeon did their job well and it only took me a day or two after submission to be approved, and surgery scheduled within 3 weeks of approval. It was very fast for me, but ended up the best route to go, not to long to fret or worry. LOL So far it has been wonderful. I've not regretted one moment. I return to work on Jan 29th. I was out 8 weeks because of my job and heavy lifting. I was up and about Christmas shopping 4-5 hrs a day with my daughters a week after surgery.
I have so much more energy, and a lot of my aches and pains have went away. I'm a little over 7 weeks post-op and am down 45.3 pounds so far and have dropped 5 pant sizes. I'm loving the new me. I use to be outgoing and full of life, but the past 15 years or so I had withdrawn so much inside myself. Is great feeling full of life again and see myself emerging from that shell more and more everyday.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Cherryl
Hey Cherryl - Welcome to the club. I love it here, everyone is so nice and never be afraid to ask a question, no matter how stupid you might think it is!! I am a pretty new post op too - My surgery was Nov 9. I am doing very well, thank you, and I would love to hear from you about what you are eating? Take good care, and welcome. Linda in Catonsville
Hi Cheryl,
I usually pop in here at different times during the day from work, so I'm not really able to "chat" in the chat room per se. I just post on the board. In the evenings I have more time to devote to chatting in the chat room, but to be honest, I've never been in the chat room for this forum. Maybe we should all start doing that.
We're having a get together this Sunday in Bowie if you're interested in joining us. We'd love to meet you
Take Care,
Terry
